Arlene’s home is stunning. It’s well decorated and extremely clean. Although it’s a basement it does not feel like a basement. The backyard is cute, I wish the weather was warmer so I could have enjoyed it. The area is quiet and peaceful but also steps away from everything you may need. The host Arlene is easy to communicate with and replies really fast. She ensures you have all you need and also lets you be. She allowed me to have some friends over and my friends were also very impressed with her home, my one friend kept saying she wanted to live there lol. I had to stay there for one month while my place had some renovations done and in that time I felt at home and safe. Arlene’s place is home away from home and again very clean which I appreciated. The photos are exactly what you get but even better in person. Thank you Arlene for providing such a lovely place.

We had a lovely stay at Arlene's place. It was the perfect homebase while visiting family in the area. The apartment looks exactly as shown in the pictures. The bed and couch were very comfortable, heaters were provided throughout the apartment, and the kitchen was fully equipped. Pretty much everything needed for a long term stay was provided, including shower items, dishwasher detergent, coffee and tea (note: if you plan on doing laundry, you will need to get laundry detergent). Arlene was a great host and responded quickly to messages. I would highly recommend Arlene's place for a long term stay if you are visiting the Whitby area.

My son and I stayed at Arlene guest house for 7 days. We arrived very late at midnight due to our flight being delayed. Arlene saw us struggling to find our way into the apartment, and she came down and offered help with our luggage and led the way into the apartment. The apartment is exactly like the pictures on the airbnb website, super clean, bright, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Even though it's a basement apartment, you could barely hear footsteps or people moving around above. My 10 months old son had enough space to move around. We had a lovely stay at Arlene's place. She is a fantastic host and always sending us messages to check on how we are settling in. Thanks for hosting us.

A home away from home! That's exactly how I'd describe Arlene's place. Everything you'd need for a short or a long stay is right there. I stayed for a month and felt right at home. One of the few places around that is a fully contained unit. The pictures just don't do it justice. I'd definitely recommend her place! Thank you Arlene!
