The neighborhood is beautiful, easy to find, walking distance to several lovely small boutique eateries, a mini market and a kitchen shop. We have a rental car so getting to downtown or midtown is never a problem. We always found on street parking. The backyard between the large historic home and the carriage house unit is beautiful with several sitting areas. It was winter with varied temperatures from frost to 70’s so we did not sit out. Our situation is that we have children and young grandchildren living within a few blocks and have been coming yearly for 20 years so we are not exactly tourists! Inside the BnB is quiet except for the occasional loud reving motorcycle. There are dishes, cooking utensils, microwave, 2 electric burners, desk, table, futon couch 1 chair. The queen bed is very comfortable. It is an old property, slanted floors, lots of windows, pedestal sink, great hot water, steep outside stairs. Quickly responsive host.

Place was unlivable, listing is highly deceptive & place should not be rented as an airbnb, period. It is a dump & a complete scam. Just set your money on fire & sleep in your car instead, seriously. Stayed for 3mos & left 2 days early due to another insect infestation. Property nothing like pics, all diff furniture & extremely run down/lot of damage, also double hot plate for stove. Street noise awful & physically shakes entire house constantly day/night. Spider infestation & multiple bites to my face. Constant bugs despite regular cleaning & lizards getting in (there is opening under door). Came home to heavy gas exhaust fumes 2 days in row from someone working on vehicle in garage below-responses slow & complete lack of urgency/apology-had to buy carbon monoxide detector to ensure was even safe to stay. Infestation of huge flies from bathroom light, were landing on me, in bed, could count 8-10 @ a time w/o turning my head. Owner aware of all issues & 1-3hr responses if at all. RUN.

Ben and Tara were great hosts: they're super responsive, and were extremely understanding and helpful when I faced an unexpected personal emergency while staying with them. I appreciated their kindness more than I can say. Plus, their home is located in an absolutely enchanting neighborhood. I could spend hours walking around and looking at all the beautiful houses and lush greenery! There is a lovely park just a couple blocks away, and plenty of great cafes and cool local shops nearby, within walking distance. Groceries, pharmacy, laundromat, and tourist destinations in the historical district are also all accessible on foot or bike.

Jill and Ben's place was great. Nice location (in a beautiful neighborhood - pretty long walk to the historic district but I did it a few times and enjoyed walking through different neighborhoods), free street parking, perfectly cozy and comfortable space. Really appreciated that there was a desk too, which I wasn't necessarily expecting since I didn't see it in the pictures. I had trouble with the stove leaking gas so didn't really use it and just asked the hosts to turn off the gas line. Pot coffee maker and microwave, fridge worked well and I ate out a lot so wasn't really a problem for me. Overall really enjoyed this place, it was perfect for my purpose of traveling/working remotely - thank you, Jill and Ben!
