We were traveling as a family of 4- and had the suite with a separate sitting room - the kids’ bed was the pullout couch. I was somewhat confused by the photos you posted in the listing- it would help to label them and also only include the suite of that specific listing. Bring your bug repellent- not much you can do about the flys but they were quite abundant. I realize that’s just the countryside. Other reviews mention rudeness or price gauging by basically having captive to eat their dinner (and possibly lunch), as you are pretty isolated. Yes, it was on the pricey side for the food & drink but what you are served is exceptional quality and execution of Sicilian dishes and we were always greeted with a smile and an attempt at communicating despite a language barrier. You need to go into this experience with an open mind and just a general willingness to adapt to them, not the other way around. All in all, quite a magical little place to spend 2-3 nights.

We had a great time at Baglio Occhipinti. The property is gorgeous and the rooms are wonderful. We really enjoyed the breakfast each morning, it was excellent. You'll definitely need a rental car to stay here but it's in a beautiful part of southern Sicily, near several major wineries, so it's well worth the journey.

This is a GEM! It is a beautiful farm stay, with a dozen rooms for guests. Every detail is considered. We never left the entire time, except to visit Fausta's sister, Arianna Occhipinti, the legendary wine maker of Sicily's winery down the road. Be ready to RELAX and BLISS OUT. They held a group dinner for all the guests, which turned out to be a highlight of the stay! Incredible food and wine pairings from their chef and sommelier. If you are looking for tranquil, quiet and resolved...stay here!

We had a wonderful 4 nights in Fausta's manor house. Highlights included beautifully decorated and styled accommodation (think World of Interiors magazine), a superb long swimming pool which we had all to ourselves, delicious breakfasts served up by Fausta's friend and Fausta herself who was a charming host. The nearby village of pedalino is handy for basics although there is no large supermarket and the bedroom aircon was temperamental but is no doubt fixed now. A magical place to stay.
