Isabel's place is in an amazing location - 7 minutes walking from the University, in the same square with the old cathedral, very walkable with cute cafes and a small grocery.. The views from the dining room are amazing of the whole of Coimbra. The kitchen is well equipped and the showers were reasonably sized with good hot water. The place is very well priced and in an amazing location. The only downsides are that the hard foam pillows and hard bed mattresses made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Also it was difficult to get to the apartment on the narrow one-way streets. We kept taking wrong turns, until Isabel kindly sent us a Google link. Isabel and Nuno were very responsive and helpful.

A great location and a great view! This place is huge, the large dining room with big windows was a relaxing place to unwind after long days. Sunset views are perfect. Laundry machine is a lifesaver for longer trips. Perfect location to walk to all parts of the city, both downtown shopping/restaurants and the university/parks. Isabel greeted us promptly and was a great host! Check in and out was quick and easy, he is super friendly. Things to consider! Bring allergy medicine if you are sensitive, but that goes for all of our “historical” stays so far. Nights can be noisy if the university is having events, nothing loud enough to keep us awake. A great way to experience Coimbra, highly recommend!

I had an absolutely wonderful month staying at Nuno and Isabel’s place. It is exactly as described - a centuries-old, beautiful spot in the medieval city of Coimbra, surrounded by amazing architecture, incredible history and fantastic views. The apartment is very large and comfortable - a family could definitely be comfortable. One must remember it is an old building, and it has a few flights of stairs, but everything is renovated and workable. I was there during January-February where it can get rainy and cold at night, but there are space heaters in each room and blankets for the chilly nights. The showers are good and the beds are comfortable. Nuno was a gracious and helpful host, who helped me whenever I needed anything/ questions and also included a weekly apartment cleaning in my paid fee. And he was always bringing up a bottle of wine or pastries - it was lovely. And every morning I would open the windows and see the remarkable view. I would highly recommend this apartment!

Great location and great host. Helped us with luggage from car park! Much appreciated! Lots to do in the city.
