We stayed over the New Year's Day (two nights). It was a unique experience. Everything in the description was accurate except that the hot shower was not available on the first night and that there was no oil available for cooking. There was no running water in the main cabin, which was not described. The kitchen shack was not usable (the host let us use his own room for cooking due to cold weather, which did not have a sink in it). We had brought food for cooking both nights, but ended up not doing so on the second night because there was no sink in the kitchen and there was no oil for cooking pasta. The main cabin was cozy and warm despite that the generator ran out of gas both nights (the host came right away after the first night to fill more gasoline and left more gasoline that we could fill the second night). The host was very responsive and we enjoyed the overall stay. The Wilbert Cafe nearby was very nice; we had one dinner and one breakfast there.

The perfect tiny cabin experience. Great place for the dogs to run, quiet, easy to find. We did a lot of activities in Duluth, not a bad drive but do wish it was a little closer if you plan to drive there every day. It was the best relax and rest spot. Peaceful mornings with coffee. Loved it! Cabin was clean, nice and cozy. The temps were 30-60s while there and the cabin was nice and warm. All around great experience and loved this tiny cabin. Erik was wonderful, didn’t need him for anything but he did reach out prior to our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed.

Not just another predictable chain motel! This is why we love Airbnb! Erik’s place is creative, unique, cozy and comfortable. The cabin itself is great for sleeping and lounging. There is also a kitchen shack and a shower/sauna cabin, both of which are (like the cabin) off-grid and run on generators. All of the facilities are clean , well-organized and easy to use. The location is in the middle of forested land on a river. It’s beautiful and peaceful. There are firepits, outdoor furniture, grills, and hammocks strategically placed here and there. I loved my stay and can’t wait to get back.
