We had a lovely time at Celia and Daphne’s place. The house is situated in a lovely valley with two good walking paths nearby. Celia was very welcoming and kind and made us feel at home. Our eldest kid at five played on the road just outside as nearly no one except the local farmer drives there. We enjoyed our time here at the countryside as it felt special and calm, even with the busy bugs, barking dogs and Bessie, the donkey, calling for company once in a while. It was a bit tricky to drive back and forth on the road from Enggares, and also communicating without mobile signal, but we liked the contrast from the other busy places we had visited in Chora, once we got to the house. Celia was a perfect host, always friendly with helpful advice when required, we very much enjoyed our experience in Celia's home which offers a true taste of Naxos rural life, the home is rustic, well equipped and set in a truly beautiful countryside location, there are many scenic walks to explore and the village with a shop and a couple of taverna's can be reached with a peaceful 15-20 min walk. We would definitely recommend to all that prefer their holiday to be located in peaceful, rural location.

Wir haben 4 erlebnisreiche Tage im Haus bei Celia verbracht und diese sehr genossen. Celia und ihre Tochter Daphne sind sehr gastfreundlich, offen und liebenswert. Sie haben uns die wunderschöne Umgebung gezeigt. Wir liebten es, den Esel zu besuchen und die vielen Tiere kennenzulernen. Wer Tiere und das Leben auf dem Land liebt, ist hier genau richtig - der benachbarte Hahn kräht, die Ziege meckert und die Berge und Täler sind wunderschön. Es gibt auch viele Bücher und Spielsachen für Kinder. Vielen Dank für das tolle Erlebnis!

Celia is a solar, joyful and, welcoming host. Due to the ferry delay, we had a late check-in and Celia was more than happy to wait for us. Unfortunately the day after our check-in we had a change of plans that didn't let us stay all the nights we booked therefore I cannot give further info on our stay. The place reflects what was shown in the listing. Celia thank you and again my apologies for the short notice check-out.

Our family spent 2 wonderful days at Celia's house. It is in a quiet valley about 1km from the village. you may want to get there by car, or take a taxi from the port. The rural environment is very relaxing, especially if you love animals and hiking. It's a spacious old stone house that's been fully renovated. Celia was most helpful and extremely friendly, and our families really connected.
