Beautifully renovated 1930s apartment that incorporates classic original and industrial elements characteristic of the period and neighbourhood. Located in 'Noga', just 5 minutes walk from the beach, the old town and the flea market - you can enjoy everything that defines the best of Jaffa. *Please note that we are listing our apartment over the summer despite construction work in the street adjacent to the double bedroom. We have discounted the rate by 30% to reflect this inconvenience* The most immediately striking aspect of the apartment is the exposed sandstone and shell wall under layers of plaster thickened with age that gives the space its character and lived in feel. The original stone floor of the apartment remains as it was, including the repair of flooring made in later periods, and doors that are from that period were dismantled, refurbished and set back in place. In fact the bathroom door was found in a derelict site in Neve Tzedek, renovated and brought to the apartment. Electricity runs through old iron pipes and external industrial sockets. Another characteristic of the building at the time was the high ceilings. To emphasize this, and in order to bring extra light into the flat, we introduced circular windows above the doors. This desire to open the flat to natural light and create a greater sense of space was perhaps the most significant change made in the apartment and gives it a more contemporary touch.   The furniture and styling also reflects the neighbourhood elements, such as lamps and accessories, were either found on the street or bought in markets around the world - often renovated and adapted to the apartment. The objective was to design the apartment, so that everyone who enters will enjoy a pleasant combination of aesthetic, texture, light and shade, and lots of love. This apartment is our home and we try to make it available whenever we have the opportunity to travel. Its great for kids (as it has plenty of our own kids toys and beach equipment) and we hope you can enjoy feeling at home with an authentic experience of life here in Jaffa-Tel Aviv.
