Gabe's place is a wonderful hidden gem! We spent a week there and wish we could have stayed longer. The house itself is very spacious and has loads of amenities. All the beds are very comfy and the bedding up to hotel standards. Everything has been thought through for a stress-free stay! All you need to do is grab the corkscrew and enjoy your holiday. Gabe is also very responsive and got back to us almost straight away when we contacted him. The house is surrounded by woods and completely secluded yet only a few minutes from beautiful Olargues. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Looking forward to visiting again!

We booked La Fumade a couple of days before we arrived, based on the mountain location and the previous reviews. It was a last minute decision, and turned out to be one of the best holidays we've ever had. The house is very comfortable, and the setting is so beautiful and tranquil. Gabriel responded immediately whenever we had a question. The area is well worth exploring-Olargues (Fleur d'Olargues restaurant highly recommended), Gorge d'Heric, and take a trip down the D14 for stunning vineyard and mountain vistas. We went to the coast one day, and really couldn't wait(even the kids) to get back. La Fumade will stay with us. Many thanks Gabriel

Wonderful, spacious house, great garden with a nice pool and an equally nice jacuzzi. We especially liked the well equipped kitchen! Also, if you're into wildlife there's much to enjoy. We saw badgers and foxes nearby, for instance. Highly recommended!

Die Unterkunft war perfekt für unseren Urlaub mit Freunden: 2 Familien mit Kindern. Der Pool war heiß geliebt, in per Auto erreichbarer Nähe finden sich die Gumpen zum Baden und Klippenspringen. In Olargues gibt es ein wunderbares Restaurant. Die Gegend ist wunderschön und atemberaubend, dazu ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Weintouren und -Verkostungen oder Ausflüge, z.B. nach Carcassonne. Der Zugang zur Unterkunft ist sehr einfach und unkompliziert. Alles super ordentlich. Wer nach absoluter Ruhe und einzigartiger Lage sucht, wird hier fündig. Wir sind absolut glücklich, die Urlaubswoche hier verbracht zu haben.

A charming country farmhouse, in a beautiful wooded setting within the National Park. We loved the swimming pool, it was a good size and we put it to good use during our stay, having been favoured with fabulous weather. We also really enjoyed the outdoor dining area - with shade from a wisteria covered arbour - a focal point for our large family group. The rooms were of a good size and beds were comfortable. The kitchen had every utensil we could ever require - including a coffee grinder to make our morning coffee. We loved the quiet, private, natural setting. Everything has been thought of including small details like citronella candles. A short (15-20min) drive away we found the pretty village of Olargue useful for any top up needs ... it has a lovely bakery (but go early, things sell out quickly), small grocers shop, bar and a few restaurants. Gabriel , the host, always responded quickly and helpfully to any enquiry - highly recommend this property for a countryside get away.
