Super super host. Andrea couldn’t have been more helpful both with getting the correct paperwork for our journey to advise on we’re to buy different foods where to eat out or visit. We really felt Andrea wanted us to throughly enjoyed her gorgeous villa which is so beautiful and tastefully decorated throughout and we most definitely did. If you wished to cook the kitchen has ever utensil you can imagine. Sunita and Prem looked after both of us in such an unobtrusively manner it was the icing on the cake. Sunita’s cooking is also highly recommended for just a small charge and we enjoyed going to markets sourcing ingredients. We couldn’t have asked for more. Our family of four stayed with my parents at the Coconut Orchard for a week in April - and were honoured to be the last guests at the existing villa before it is been renovated. We absolutely loved our holiday here and couldn't have wished or dreamed for more. Here are the highlights: Location: beautiful and large garden, just a 2 hour easy drive from the airport and a 5 min tuk tuk ride from Hikkaduwa village - and Gamini always on hand to take us there and back. There's a mobile phone in the villa with the driver's number in to make things as simple as possible. We used this for trips to the beach (kids loved the ride itself!) and for dinner by the beach. Garden: green, quiet, large enough for ball games, lots of wildlife spotting of birds, chipmunks, and iguanas, and lots of places to sit whether you want to be as a group or enjoy some quiet shaded time. Pool: beautifully clean, lovely depth means that you can stand up in it from one end to the other so very safe for the kids to swim in, and lots of lovely loungers all around the pool Outdoor bar with fridge: a great place to hang out whether playing card games with the kids in the shade or enjoying sundowners Villa: very stylish, lots of lovely finishing touches, bathroom filled with lovely toiletries, clean bathrooms, spotless kitchen, games and books to keep us all entertained. Lounge is small but we never used it anyway as too much to enjoy outside Verandah: the perfect place to relax on a chair, eat dinner under the stars, play games and enjoy a coffee as the sun rises. The food!!!: I could rave about this all day. We ate at the villa every night bar one as Gamini is just the most wonderful chef. We had the most incredible vegetable, meat nd seafood curries, all beautifully presented and a the perfect choice for all tastes; one night we had a seafood bbq cooked over the large fire pit which was fun in itself; and another night we had homemade pizzas cooked in the pizza oven. Gamini was the perfect host, and would ask every morning what we would like and organise all the shopping, cooking and clearing up. The staff: Gamini and Ramia were wonderful - and looked after everything if and when we needed it. They were both so friendly, my kids adored them, and they made us feel so welcome, safe and well informed about everything. Andrea: the perfect host from start to finish. Was always available to answer questions, and gave us some top tips for our visit from organising airport pick ups and a visiting artist to recommending that we bring mozzarella for the pizzas. She genuinely cared if we had a lovely holiday - and her personal investment and love for this villa really shows. Thank you so much! We are sad to see this villa come down, but really look forward to returning once the new villa is built. Would recommend The Coconut Orchard to any families or couples who want the perfect Sri Lankan getaway - no better place to soak up the island life!

We have just returned from 6 days at Coconut Orchard after spending 9 days touring around Sri Lanka. This villa is the ultimate place to relax and unwind - the garden and pool are stunning- you feel at peace the minute you walk through the gates. So many things to like about this place, the staff are brilliant, helpful but not intrusive and the small touches make all the difference - luxury towels and linen, soaps, and plunger coffee to name a few. The whole villa has so much character and decorated beautifully, the kitchen has everything you would ever need. The location is perfect - not too far from the crazy town of Hikkaduwa, (an easy drive in a tuk tuk) however you the peace you feel as you enter the garden will make you never want to leave. We will be back for sure. Thanks Andrea for all your help in making out stay so enjoyable - we have made memories to keep forever.

Read Andreas descriptions, read the reviews and expect nothing less but to visit a place that most likely will become a unique and bright memory among your travel experiences. The genuine warmness and kindness that Gamini and Ramia provides the house services are also one of a kind. Me and my family will always look back on this vacation as something you shouldn’t take for granted but to feel humble and happy to have experienced. We never had a dinner out that was better cooked than Gaminis food.

We stayed at Andrea's beautiful house from Sunday to Friday and we had an absolutley wonderful time. From the start to the chekcout Andrea has been checking så everyhing was ok and helping out with everything from restaurant tips as well as on which beach to visit. She is a the best host and quickly answered any questions I might have. The house itself was so beautiful and tastfully decorated and the pictures truly do not do it justice. We spent many nights sittning outside just relaxing. Another subject is the pool, the kids loved it and did not want to go to the beach they preffered the pool. When it comes to food, you have to give Gamini a go, his food is delicious and his bbq snapper was the best fish I have ever eaten. Even both of my kids that really do not like fish loved it. Also his curry dishes are so good. You will not be disapointed If you try his food . I really recomend Andrea as a host, we had the best vaccation in her house.
