The cabin is beautiful and was very clean. Instructions were clear and the tip about getting the wood prior to arrival was helpful.

It felt like an old home, clean but you get what you pay for. Noisy floor, worn out furniture, unsafe handrail to main floor from basement, and septic smells coming into third floor bedroom at night. It was warm when we arrived and a safe place location to rest for the night. Close to town but not too close just enough to feel in the country, which was a plus for us.

Pros: Accessible location, near downtown/bavarian village. Host is responsive. Cons: The property and amenities are outdated. Beds and couches are not comfortable. You can feel the springs underneath the futon mattress/couch. Creaking wood floors. Not satisfied with cleanliness, it's dusty, webs inside the property, utensils are not clean. We only stayed for a night, but beyond that, we cannot probably endure it for its price. Please read the fine print and not rely on the main description like we did. The main description mentioned additional pet fee but not the additional fee for guests beyond 4 people, given that the property can accommodate up to 11 guests, sleeps 13. However, it was the only pet-friendly property that was available for our trip so we decided to keep the booking, but otherwise, we would have loved to explore other options.

The cabin was in a great location - less than 10 minutes from downtown Leavenworth. We enjoyed the three floors for three separate families. However, we wouldn't stay here again. This listing says it sleeps 13 but every person over 4 total people is charged an extra $30/person/night and the same with dogs. So, having 5 people plus 2 dogs resulted in an extra $270 on top of an already expensive place to stay. Oh, and early check-in would have also been an extra $30 when I've had other hosts be happy to do so if the place is available. It was a lot of nickel-and-diming for what it was. There was an AC unit left in the upstairs bedroom window that resulted in freezing temperatures in that bedroom and super hot in the rest of the house. The host did offer to send a handyman once I notified her but we decided it would be easier just to remove it ourselves.
