We had a lovely stay of four nights at Del’s beautiful home, and really enjoyed the pool, with stunning views on to the whales tail beach and sea views, and on a clear day you can see Cano island in the distance. The house has everything you need, it’s spacious and we loved the boruca tribal art and masks adorning the walls, and the history behind them. The road up to the house was no problem at all, provided you have a 4x4 vehicle, and we experienced no problems driving up and down. The wildlife in the area was amazing, and we even had a king vulture sitting on a tree in the front garden, which was fantastic, as was the mature forest surrounding the property. We highly recommend a stay at Del’s Congo, and we would love to come back again in future.

The view you come to every time you drive to the house is worth the very steep road you have to take to go this high up the mountain! We had a “push button” 4wd and it made it up and down the mountain, but we did pushed the limits on our little car. So don’t even attempt to go to this Airbnb without a 4x4. The roads are well kept though, they are steep but rocky so they don’t get washed or are slippery mud. The house is very big and spacious. The views from every room are beautiful. There is no AC in the house but it gets surprisingly cool at night at that height so you just need to open the windows when you go to bed (there are screens in every window) We enjoyed our stay here, every morning we would sit outside and see the many toucans that live in the trees by the house. Del and Alicia were always available and very eager to help if needed. FYI: there are a lot of scary looking art hanging all over the house, they are mainly masks. Not so ideal when you stay here with children.

We recently visited Uvita, Costa Rica and had the pleasure of staying at Del Congos airbnb. The ride up the mountain is extremely steep so a 4x4 vehicle is needed, no getting around it. There's a waterfall, restaurant, small resort and beer garden in the mountains so you don't have to travel far for entertainment. The house itself was extraordinary. It was not only large and spacious but also cozy. The decor in the home was full of Costa culture and the best part was the infinity pool and large windows and sliding doors throughout the home that let the natural light and cool breeze in. Watching the sun rise from any of the balconies was so serene. I cannot thank the manager/driver Alicia and Del/host for their hospitality. This was a truly unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a slice of paradise, this is the place to be! I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious and rejuvenating retreat.

Well taken care of fully stocked house, about 3km up the hill, in the jungle with ocean views, with a pool. Not within walking distance to anything and 4x4 is a must. Overall a great experience for several days, however, the 10-12m trip each way, on 40+ degree dirt roads, from town loses its novelty after a few days.
