First, I have to say it’s is a home made with love. Thanks to the host for maintaining the property well. The manager was kind enough to present us a parting gift. Our stay was pleasant. Had 3 bed rooms with attached bathroom, a hall with balcony , a kitchen. There is one more room by their office. Would be great if they open it for guests as sunlight comes in that room. It’s mostly in 4th floor and has good sets of stairs. Not recommended for old family or moms with knee pain like mine. Location: Near Yuma Hotel. Little far from Mall Road. Takes 10-15 minutes down hill from the centre. Piece of cake for youngsters. Initial impression: We had to climb stairs with all luggage which was breath taking and had issues with electric appliances. Heathers don’t work much effectively. Final impression: The next morning u really got to enjoy the beauty of the apartment. Kanchanjanga clear view from rooms. U will fall for the decorations and antiques installed. Loved the stay. Thank you.

One of the best Airbnb in Darjeeling! Centrally located, 5mins walk to Darjeeling railway station and Rink Mall. Lots of eateries nearby. All rooms have the views of the majestic Kanchenjunga! I would like to stay here again whenever I go back to Darjeeling.

The place was good from inside. The look of the building from outside may not seem appealing as it's an old apartment, perhaps from 1930s. But, the house is beautifully decorated in the inside and offers an amazing view of the Kanchenjunga from every room. We had the entire place to ourselves, so it offers privacy. Hemanto, the caretaker was very responsive and friendly. He was always available for all our queries and everything we needed. I can't really thank Marina, the helper, enough. She helped us with the chores. She kept the house squeaky clean. I traveled with three senior citizens, one of them couldn't travel most of the days and stayed in, Marina heated and served her the food we kept and stayed till she ate. There are a few cons: - There are forty steep stairs to climb. This should be highlighted instead of just mentioning in a sentence in the long description. - The bathroom ceiling in the first bedroom is broken and the bathroom stinks.

pros: 1) amazing location. everything is within 5 mins walk. 2) very clean 3) amazing view 4) well furnished 5) The kitchen is fully functional with lots of utensils, stoves, tosters, whatever one may need. 6) housekeeping lady is very efficient and friendly 7) collection of free selection of darjeeling tea in the kitchen. 8) Hemanta the local caretaker is friendly and eager to help. cons 1) 40 stairs climb 2) u have to carry your own luggage 3) all cupboards except the middle room was locked , so had to keep all cloths on the tables 4) there is some problem with the plumbing due the building being old. foul smell comes out of the commode of the 1st and last bedrooms. all exhaust fans must be kept on and toilet seats shut, and bathroom doors shut at all times to stop the smell. 5) showers not working so you have to use buckets to take bath. 6) gieser and heater of last bedroom was not working. overall a very enjoyable stay with full family sitting and chatting in the drawing room.

I consider it the best place in Darjeeling! House was sparkling clean with awesome view and had lots of room for family relax. It is centrally located to walk to the mall and restaurants. Hemanta, care taker was always responsive with any questions I had and assisted making an arrangement to the airport. I can’t think of any better place to stay in Darjeeling.
