Our stay at Whispering Palms was amazing and as described on the wrapper. Spectacular, quiet, comfortable, relaxing. A special thank you Sylvie, John and Peter for the warm welcome, and hospitality. Their willingness to share the local culture makes the stay extra special. Thank you also to Cindy and Dean as well as Marcello for the responsiveness. Some practical advice for those staying at Whispering Palms: Cash is king (and not readily available) - Make sure you cash up in Port Vila as there are no ATM/Cash machines on that part of Efate and with the exception of some of the big resorts, cash is generally the only way to pay. Food - Go with a plan on catering for the first few nights (at least). We arrived in the evening, and although we had organised some food, we found ourselves trekking back to Port Vila for supplies for the 3rd night. Morrison has basics, there are some options in Port Havannah, but again, make sure you have enough cash for these. Absolutely loved our stay.

We had the most amazing time staying at Whispering Palms. The property is located on a beautiful stretch of coastline with warm, calm water perfect for snorkeling, swimming, kayaking and SUPing. What makes the location even better is that it's very private and secluded. The only people we came across were the lovely people from the village. We didn't see a single tourist during our 4 night stay. The villas were all well equipped with everything you need to self cater and they are all well designed to capture the gentle sea breeze. All of the extra amenities like the water craft, hammocks and fire pits were all in excellent working order with the fire pits even supplied with huge stacks of wood to burn. Marcello was super responsive with any questions and the property has a very good compendium that contains all of the info you need for a stay at Whispering Palms. A really awesome place to stay for a short or a long time. Super relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable.

We loved our stay at Marcello’s. super easy booking process and Marcello answered our various questions incredibly promptly. The accom is in a semi-rural area so I would recommend hiring a car however we loved the seclusion (beach to ourself!!). The coral reef 500m off shore is great to kayak to and the snorkelling is great. Be aware that is it quite bright inside so you will be awake early (hit the tusker premium early in the evening). Kitchen has everything you’ll need. If you want privacy, book both houses!! We’ll be back.

Oh. My. Goodness! This place is a dream and is even better than the pictures. The beds are comfy, the snorkeling right in front of the house is amazing and the caretakers of the house are genuinely sweet. We loved our week here and were absolutely heartbroken to leave.

We just got back from a great trip to Vanuatu including a week at Whispering Palms. Booking and contact with Marcello was great with quick responses by email every time. Whispering Palms is a great spot to relax but still has plenty of options. We hired a car, which certainly made things easy, but using the local buses is also an option. The caretakers, John and his wife Silvi looked after us, but there were no issues with the property at all. The kitchen has everything you need and we cooked plenty of meals including local Coral Trout on the Weber. I took a travel rod and had some great sessions bottom bashing with bait, catching one coral trout after another. We did have to get used to a few 'bumps in the night' with a few of the local dogs barking loudly one night. There was some great snorkelling straight out front of the property but you need to go at full tide to make it easier to manage the coral. We also walked a little further down the beach where there is a break in the coral and you can snorkel any time. The property is an easy drive from Port Vila. We combined a few day trips which passed through Port Vila - so we could pick up some more groceries. Morrisons Shop just up the road is okay for some biscuits, chips, noodles and drinks but you need to get all your staples in town. Overall a great place to relax but still plenty to keep everyone busy.
