A beautiful cottage with very close access to the coast. It was clean and tidy as described and the wood burning stove was a big hit. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic stay in a lovely little cottage, great location for exploring north Devon. Claire and Chris gave easy instructions and helpful recommendations. No smell of mould like a previous review stated. 100% recommended.

Wonderful cottage, very comfortable with everything you need. Seemed a lot bigger than in the pictures. We’ve taken the name of the sofa as it’s the most comfortable thing in the world, we spent a lot of time sitting here and just chatting with the fire lit. So quiet and peaceful. Perfect location, just a few meters from beach and SW Coastpath. Garage across the road has everything you could need (fresh pastries were a real treat!). Great hosts, very friendly and have great recommendations. (Would recommend Maddie’s fish and chips from Ilfracombe). Really couldn’t have asked for a better stay, thank you so much. Would love to visit again :-) x

A beautiful little bolt-hole to escape to, with a choice of beautiful walks into Ilfracombe, with the beach only a stone’s throw away. Very grateful to Claire and Chris who were continually responsive to any questions we had. Will definitely look to return!

Overall,we had a lovely holiday, the cottage was in a perfect location. It has a cove nearby, which in low tide was perfect for rockpooling, something that we enjoyed in our time there. Cottage is spacious & has everything you need. The log burning fire was a highlight in this cottage for us, and getting logs from the store up the road was easy. The kids loved the rocking chair in the living room. Just such a shame about the strong smell of damp in the living room & master bedroom, seems measures to mask the smell have been attempted but it was still really strong. Mould appeared on day 3 of our stay in the corner of the master bedroom. Cleaning wasn't too bad, it is an old cottage after all, but the shower head and around the taps were mouldy. Beds were comfy & we all slept fine. Garden is very overgrown & has brambles up the path to the front door & ivy growing over the twin bedroom window. Like I said,it's a lovely cottage but the whole place could do with some tlc & damp sorting.
