My girlfriend and I came up to Vermont for a fall weekend getaway. The location was a relatively short drive to some great towns, including Stowe and Montpelier. We stayed with Issy for three nights, and we had a wonderful time. She was very knowledgeable of the whole area and gave us great suggestions on where to eat, which roads to use, which roads to avoid, and gave us great ideas for activities. Issy will be sure to regale you with some great stories from her colorful life, which is my favorite perk of staying with her. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a comfortable, accommodating stay in Vermont.

Issy's place is very welcoming and charming! The room is quite spacious and the bathroom is well equipped. It's surrounded by lots of land so very private and peaceful. In the morning Issy serves coffee and freshly baked goods with fruit. What a treat! Issy herself is very engaging and interested in her guests :) Bristol is a cute little town with a few cute shops. Great hiking around as well. We will be back!

Falsely advertised. Based on the listing, full kitchen use and breakfast were included, but both were denied during our stay. The Host was racist, judgmental and insensitive; periodically bought up her “superior” German background and insisted on us fixing her computer because we were Asian. All of these unprompted comments made us feel very uncomfortable. Three other parties were staying at the B&B, all of which had full access to the kitchen; this again made us feel discriminated against. The bedroom and bathroom were unsanitary. Multiple spiders were found crawling across the ceiling and countless spiderwebs were seen draped across the doorways, windows and corners of the room. Layers of dust could be seen on various open surfaces. We were sneezing excessively and experienced allergy symptoms during our entire stay. The bathroom ceiling corners had a “gathering” of various LIVE bugs. Based on everything we observed, it seems like the host completely ignored cleaning the Airbnb areas. To make matters worse, there was no curtains or privacy screening of any kind in the bathroom. The host had campers rented out, of which all had a direct view into our bathroom. This seemed intentionally since the bedroom had curtains on every window. We used the shower curtain to cover the window during our stay. The bathroom tub was dingy, yellow and had two rusty holes on the bottom. The water in the shower took almost 15 minutes to warm up and the water pressure barely trickled through the shower head. We have pictures and documented everything mentioned in the review. We also would not recommend this location or Host to anyone.

Great place, and great stay. Issy is very friendly and its amazing how she handles everything. The location is very beautiful and you will enjoy your time there.

Staying with Issy is a treat! The location is wonderful and quiet, the room is lovely with a very comfortable double bed, and plenty of duvets to keep warm, while sleep with the countryside air coming through the windows was a delight. The best thing about the stay though was Issy herself, what a phenomenal woman full of great stories, and an experienced hostess who makes you feel right at home. She offered lovely tea and pastries in the morning and had plenty of advice about the area. I ate delicious tomatoes, beans and squash from her vegetable garden for a week after leaving, as Issy didn’t let me leave with empty hands but made me a huge pack of fresh veggies. There is a sign in the living room that says ‘come as strangers, leave as friends’ and Issy definitely makes you feel that way. I can’t wait to visit again.
