Hi I am a 62 year old (but young at heart!), married woman from Reston, VA. Currently, I have my own business as a public relations consultant with a focus on health and wellness clients. I blog at hartkeisonline. My husband and I are both of German-Irish descent and all our extended family are based in Northern Virginia. He is the son of a former U.S. Senator (the late Sen R. Vance Hartke, of Indiana). I am the daughter of a successful real estate entrepreneur. My husband, Keith and his brother run a real estate company in our community. We love to travel, and I often go sailing with my best female friend in exotic places. We are fitness buffs and support the local foods movement. We believe a natural, active lifestyle is the best way for long term health so we are non-smokers and in the gym 4-5 days a week. With our penchant for fine dining, we enjoy wine but not mixed drinks. We support our local farmers and at one time hosted a farmers market at our office. We frequently speak to groups about our health and weight loss journey, and the importance of supporting eco-friendly farms.
