We spent 5 nights at Pat and Joe's home with our son and daughter and their families, just up the road from Calaveras big Trees State Park . Their home was perfect for us all and wonderfully located near lakes, rivers and hiking. Their home had everything we needed to enjoy a great stay. Pat and Joe were great hosts and provided all the information we needed for access to the home and a wonderful stay. Five stars for their home. David and Chris Berkeley, Ca

We stayed for 3 days and overall, had a great time except for the last night. And we hope the owners will take our review to heart and "fix" the power/communication issue. Based on our experience, here are our pros and cons: Cons: - None of the bedrooms have blinds which makes bedtime with little kids a bit more challenging. - While the house is great, the neighbors don't seem to like if somebody explores a little bit. We were barely 20ft from the house when a neighbor came by to tell us that we are "probably" crossing property lines and we shouldn't be roaming around. So that was a bit of a doozy but we just went to While Pines Lake and went fishing and paddle boarding. - The driveway is super steep; just fyi in case you have a car with low clearance. We didn't have a problem. - This last one was a biggie for us which prompted the 3-star review. We had a power outage from Monday evening to Tuesday morning, which happens. But between having no mobile connection and internet and phone being dependent on power, there was no way to find out if the power outage was related to a wildfire or other safety concern. And there is no generator to operate the basics. Nobody got any sleep because everyone worried about what is going on. I don't know if this happens often but we know Arnold had a power outage that same weekend for about a day so judging by that, it doesn't seem too rare. The Pros: - The house is amazing for a family gathering. We went with 4 adults and 4 young kids and we all had enough space to hang out and play to our hearts' content. - The location was great. Close to White Pines Lake and Big Trees. - The house had everything we needed (other than a whisk and the other half of the "Life" game which apparently somebody has ripped out and taken home 🤷‍♀️). - We were super comfortable in the house and the number of rooms and beds was perfect.

Pat and Joe's cabin was very clean and inviting. The perfect place for our two families to gather. There was plenty of space to be together and plenty of space to have alone time too. Well stocked with games books and puzzles for the kids. We hope to visit again in the future!

We have had great visits to the Senteno family cabin. It’s very well equipped. Our grandchildren love the puzzles, books and toys. We cooked all our meals in the well stocked kitchen. We will definitely be back for another stay.
