If you feel for holidays away from mass tourism, yet near enough to local and tourist attractions you are at the right place ;)) If you are looking for a charming accomodation in a rural village and you want to get to know the real Tenerife: Even better! Sansofí means "Welcome guest" in guanche, the language of the canarian ancestors, and we definitely want you to feel welcome from the moment you enter our doors... What defines us? Historical walls combined with casual interior and all modern amenities in a charming canarian house. We offer private and shared bedrooms, a reception lounge and a livingroom with TV and games where you can socialise with fellow travellers. The kitchen is well equipped and shared with other guests. The bathrooms are provided with hairdryers and towels. There is also a large rooftop terrace. From one of the bedrooms you have direct access to this terrace but you can also reach it from the reception lounge. The view from here down to the coast is just amazing!

Jeg havde et dejligt ophold hos Mari-Ann, hun er en sød og meget hjælpsom vært. Dejlig morgenmad med godt udvalg. Altid adgang til køkken, med mulighed for at tilberede sit eget mad. Mit værelse var stort og lyst med eget badeværelse og adgang til en stor fælles tagterrasse. Huset er super rent og hyggeligt. Det værelse jeg havde kræver man kan gå på en lidt stejl trappe. Eneste minus var naboens meget gøende schæfer hund, som gøede nat og dag. Mari-Ann’s hyggelige gæstehus får 100% min anbefaling
I would not hesitate to recommend this beautifully stay to anyone. Mary-Ann was a wonderful host who couldn’t have done more for us. The room was lovely and we were woken by the sunrise each morning but heading down for the lovely breakfast provided. We will be back.
We really loved our stay here! Mari-Ann was so accommodating it felt like staying with family (in the best way). The space itself is just gorgeous, she did a great job with the design creating a beautiful oasis. San Miguel is a quiet town away from the touristy parts of the south, we appreciated this very much. During our stay there were celebrations happening in the town square for their patron saint’s day, this offered a great taste of local culture. Highly recommend Sansofi if you are coming to South Tenerife. We would certainly stay here again!

We are very happy that we have chosen Mari-Ann’s place for our stay in Tenerife! She made us feel like home from the very first moment and she was very helpful in giving us recommendations and answering all the questions we had. The place is beautiful and done with a lot of love and details, also the village San Miguel itself is super pretty and very well located for hiking but also not far from the coast. We can 100% recommend to choose Mari-Ann as a host, it’s great that she reopenend her B&B! :)

Our tip is to start by exploring San Miguel and its canarian life.
Here you will find a supermarket, some small shops, a bakery, some nice little restaurants serving lovely canarian food and even a museum. From here you easily start your hiking or cycling tours, avoiding the traffic at the coastline. Or you rent a car and take it easy by going to the beach. The distance to the nearest beach is around 15 min by car. Though we recommend renting a car, there is a bus stop at 5 min walking from Sansofi.
At our Guesthouse you will be able to get to know the local life of Tenerife, yet it is near enough to tourist attractions and beaches.

Hi, my name is Mari-Ann, born in Norway, brought up in Germany but my heart is in Spain where I have lived over half of my life (Tenerife & Barcelona). I have been working as a Cabin Crew for many years and love travelling and meeting people. ...but I also like to stay at home cooking for family and friends and end up talking, laughing and enjoying life at my little paradise in Tenerife.
