What a sweet place to rest for a spell! Karen is a wonderful lady that puts her heart into the castle. I enjoyed wandering the grounds and relaxing. My cat, Leo loved the windows and didn’t want to leave! I wish I had a couple more days there, but had to continue on my journey. Lacey Michele’s castle is a magical spot & well worth a visit!
Book now. Seriously. This place was the perfect little spot. Karen was so kind and told us the story of the castle while she showed us around. It was peaceful and quiet. My dog loved being able to run around freely and explore. And carry around the sticks she found. The only downside is that time does not slow down while you are there. So maybe book more than one day. We enjoyed the time and will definitely book again if we are down that way.
I had a wonderful stay at the castle. Karen was very welcoming and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
Host was very kind and welcoming. We enjoyed hearing the story of how the castle was built. The castle itself is very neat and fun to meander around. We went in Febuary, so I'm sure it would be even prettier in the spring/summer. My favorite part was sitting up in the tower in the morning, drinking coffee. Will definitely be back again!
Our stay at the castle exceeded my expectations. First of all, I was very grateful for allowing us to stay with our two dogs. There is a fully fenced yard in the back and it was wonderful being able to let our dogs run around a bit. It is a shared backyard but we were still able to spend some time back there. The castle itself is beautiful in every aspect. Everything was clean and cozy and it really did feel like home away from home. Karen was a great host and I hope we could come back again!

We strongly support wildlife habitat, restoration and preservation. We advocate and promote water conservation through our water/soil conservation projects. The projects are working water retention ponds capturing rain water, holding in place, allowing the water to peculate back in to the aquifer. We encourage families to enjoy the great outdoors by hiking trails and seeing ginseng, goldenseal, blood root and picking morel mushrooms when in season. While roaming the property it is not uncommon to see deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, raccoon, ground hogs, possums, fox (grey & red), bob cats and an occasional black bear. Bottom line, we are nature lovers!!
