Location You're in one of the most picturesque villages of Gozo and by car you're: - 2 mins away from the main village square (where you can find various restaurants and bars/cafes); - 5 mins away from Ramla Bay; - 7 mins away from Victoria and its citadel (Gozo's capital); - 15 mins away from Mgarr (boats to Comino and the ferry to Malta). Xaghra boasts a number of interesting historical sites including Ggantija Temples, Calypso's cave, the Plague's hospital, Xerri's and Ninu's Grottos, Ta' Kola Windmill, the Museum of Toys, Santa Verna Temple and other prehistoric sites and a number of old churches/chapels (one of which dates back to 1520). Xaghra is built on a hill and is situated in the north-east of the island of Gozo. It lies just under four kilometres from Victoria, Gozo's capital, and is aptly described as the village of the goddess and the Madonna. Xaghra was one of the earliest inhabited areas of Gozo. There is a bus stop 3 mins away from the house (on foot). From there, you can catch buses to Mgarr and Victoria. Most tourists visiting Gozo prefer to rent a car, though.
Tout s’est bien passé malgré un problème d’eau chaude à l’arrivée qui a été résolu rapidement et petit bémol sur l’extérieur où tout était encore en mode hiver avec les transats , chaises empilées et pleines de poussière. Dommage
Fifty Four was just as described . The host Anton was on hand and responded to any questions that we had within minutes of the request being made. The property had everything that we needed (and more) it was peaceful and relaxing. We would return.
Anton was a very great host and very responsive at any time of the day! We would definetly book it again!☺️
We had a lovely stay at Anton’s property. He was a great host, providing detailed info prior to our arrival so it was easy to find. Parking was really easy right outside the property which meant unloading bags was easy when we arrived late in the evening. The little food ‘essentials’ provided on arrival was a godsend too. The pool was lovely for a dip and the terrace a great place to soak up the sun. The living/dining area is a real plus in this property. The Wi-Fi was good and reliable and easy to connect to, TV had a huge selection of channels including sports. The location was great - peaceful but with lots of lovely restaurants within 15 mins walk in the square. Anton was ready with helpful recommendations but I highly recommend Oleander. Anton also arranged a late check out for us which we requested only the day before check out which was much appreciated.
We (ages 63, 40, 39 and 11) had a lovely October-vacation in Anton's beautiful house which we found to be as advertised. The house is rather large (somewhat bigger than the four of us needed, to be honest), beautifully furnished and with lovely views towards Ramla Beach. We particularly appreciated the privacy and the quiet neighborhood. Wifi worked very well and we had no issues in finding what we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms etc. We brought a car and while the walk to shops and restaurants is manageable, we would recommend that. Parking nearby appeared to be always available to us. Communication with Anton was spotless and we felt very welcome. Overall - would love to stay again, should we find ourselves back on Gozo.
