优点： 1.环境非常好～房子在湖边，出门就是湖，吃完饭在湖边小坐喝茶很惬意～房屋周边是森林，可以听到各种动物的声音。 2.食物很好吃！早餐水果+面包+煎蛋，包含在房费里。晚饭我们吃的是炒饭、咖喱、黄瓜番茄色拉、冰激淋等，约600卢比/人。 3.住家有请佣人，服务很贴心，端茶送水非常勤快，有什么需求都能可以和他们说，会及时满足。 4.房间多，有公共区域，可以和来自不同国家的旅客聊天，primate centre的主人是个研究猴子的博士，和他聊天了解到很多猴子的习性，非常有趣。 缺点： 1.住宿比较难找，在林子里，离市中心远，最好是有包车或者突突。去古城可以问住家假自行车，但骑过去挺远的，我们包车开了十来分钟。 2.monkey tour有点贵，包含实地观察讲解+观看一部纪录片。观察猴子的地点在古城内，门票费自付，带我们的小哥是博士的学生，比较羞涩，所以讲的不多，回住处后看的纪录片很长知识。其实古城里到处都是猴子，我觉得自己看看就ok。

Our stay was quite comfortable. Our hosts were friendly and provided a very nice breakfast and cooked dinner upon request for a fee. The experience with the monkeys at the ruins was the highlight. There are no barriers between you and the monkeys. You can get very close to them. We visited three or four troops. After visiting the monkeys they will take you to see the ruins. Definitely a five star review!

This was such an amazing find: how often do you get to stay in a primate center? 🤩Vatsala and the rest of the lovely crew were so welcoming and helpful, they arranged for us to rent bikes to visit ancient Ponmorawula (highly recommend having bikes). The rooms are clean, comfortable and basic - everything you need but as this is a working research facility, do not expect a 5 star hotel. We really enjoyed the nighttime loris walk, too - full of nocturnal creatures and so many in such a small area. This is a lovely, private location and the variety of bird calls is fabulous. While we didn't see the swimming elephant, apparently he likes to take a dip and occasionally try to visit. Thank you to our hosts and especially Vatsala who kindly took care of us and who we greatly enjoyed talking with! 😍

Staying at the Camp was really great as we did the Loris evening and Primate morning and we ate a delicious and filling dinner there too (extra charge) Breakfast was included and there was lots of yummy food to get you ready for Primate morning. The view out on the lake was lovely to watch from the chairs and see all the different birds. It also felt good to be able to support the Smithsonian Primate Research Centre further by staying there.
