Alan’s house is in a great location in a beautiful town. The house is in a beautiful treed setting and very quiet. Everything you need is there and it also has a lovely spa to enjoy. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants. All amenities were extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. We would highly recommend going to Alan’s house. Alan also helped us with directions when we had a little bit of trouble finding the street. He brought extra kindling when we needed it, so we had a lovely open fire as well as central heating. Alan communicated very well.

really recommended for who want stay this house cause really peaceful, beautiful and big.. also the best thing about this house you can spend your time for rilex at jacuzzi cause their have it! and the host was so nice and soft spoken..

Unfortunately this property was well below our expectations- especially for $810 per night. The house is in a state of disrepair and needs some repairs and maintenance immediately. With 1 hour to check in, when we were well on our way to Olinda, I received a message from the owner stating that the deck has been under construction due to a storm and we can change dates if we like… i have no problem with the construction, but being notified 1 hour before check in with an option to change dates was totally unacceptable. The decking is still in very early stages of repair so the owner would’ve known it was going to be closed off and should be stated in the ad or at time of booking. So that meant we had no access to the BBQ which we had bought food already that we had planned to cook out in the deck. The expansive deck was the main reason we booked this property. Instead we could only sit inside, which we could’ve done free at home. As soon as we entered the house we were hit with a pungent smell of dampness. The bathrooms were covered with mould (especially downstairs) and had cracked tiles as well as holes everywhere where a shower door once was and where towel rails and hooks “used” to be. So there was actually no where to hang our towels except for the wardrobe or draped over furniture. The kitchen was not in good condition either. Both the oven and fridge don’t close properly and because of the cleanliness of the rest of the house, we chose not to cook our food there. Alan did leave vouchers for a cafe which was nice though. The windows throughout the house are filthy and covered with spiderwebs. The walls are dirty with marks and there is a hole in the wall above the fire place. The jets in the spa are broken and were floating around in the water. The property could be amazing if the house got the attention it desperately needs. Unfortunately this is the worst Airbnb we have ever experienced, especially for the price we paid and with the word “luxury” in the title we were extremely disappointed staying here and it ruined our weekend holiday. I don’t recommend booking this property until it’s been maintained and cleaned thoroughly.

It was a great location. But we didnt feel as though the place matched the price. The upstairs rooms were nice...but some blinds needed fixing. The downstair rooms were not great. Outside balcony was being renovated (we were not told) but did receive a complimentary breakfast voucher. The hottub and fire were great and Alan responded quickly to our request.
