Great home away from home, everything you need for a family getaway. Great location, very central to al the different places we had planned to visit..Fota, Cobh, Blarney and Cork city. Amazing park & playground just up the road and Ballincollig is a lovely spot. We loved the 2 buzzards flying behind the house all day..what a sight. We'll be back..

The stay in the cottage was lovely. It was a great location and only about 15 minutes from cork city. There was plenty of things in the area including a wonderful store and many little restaurants and cafes. The cottage was spacious and had everything we needed. My only complaint was that the shower needed a curtain to prevent water from getting on the floor. Frances and her partner were quickly responsive to our questions which was great.

Very nice cottage. We really enjoyed our time there. It is close to the town of Ballincollig so everything is available there, but you still feel you are in the country. Over the bridge is the Ballincollig regional park which is fabulous especially if you have kids or just need to go for a nice walk or do some exercise. Kitchen has everything needed to provide for a short or long stay. We had a very enjoyable time.

Although we never met Frances, her communications were both timely and friendly throughout. Her cottage is in a sublime part of County Cork and within easy reach of the tourist hotspots like Kinsale, Clonakilty and Cork City, itself. Unfortunately this is where the postives for this listing end. Upon arriving we noticed that the cottage had problems with damp which were only partially remedied with the heating fixed the following day. This rendered 2 out of 3 bedrooms unusable and led to my wife and daughter choosing to use the sofa for the duration of the stay. The general cleanliness of the cottage was well below our expectations and was evident that it hadn't received a deep clean before our arrival. Can these issues be easily remedied? I suspect so; unfortunately it wasn't done in time for our first visit to Cork
