Sian is an excellent host with a lovely property in a small village that is near restaurants, shopping, etc. I enjoyed my stay very much!

What I liked about Sian's place: Hot water and good pressure in the shower, available kitchen. What I did not like: The room was very cold, we were told at check-in that the heat was on a timer and her son (who was out of town) was the only one who knew how to change it; the post I originally booked on showed a washer dryer in the unit, but Sian said those had been removed and they hadn't updated the ad; the shower has part of a wall that intrudes, making it very small unless you're 5' or less; the dishes in the kitchen were dirty, there were multiple bread knives but not a regular knife for meats and veggies; there was a bit of road noise and the noise from the tenant above was excessive; when the upstairs tenants are using the shared kitchen, it is very loud for the downstairs tenants; housekeeping cleared up after the other tenant and left their dirty dishes and trash for me to take care of.

Lovely high ceiling cottage room with shared common areas. Situated on quiet street near riverwalk to town. outstanding hospitality, would recommend.

We stayed a night in one of the lovely characterful cottages. Everything was spotless with great amenities. We had a warm welcome and would definitely visit again. I’d recommend staying here to anyone. The road was peaceful and residential with a great pub in walking distance.

Appletree Cottage is very comfortable, cosy, and clean. The owner Sian is lovely, and went out of her way to be helpful, offering suggestions for things to do and providing recommendations for local restaurants. Appletree comes highly recommended!
