We have a clean and comfortable three-storey townhouse, with two living rooms, two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The house is located in a quiet street, and is a pleasant 8-minute walk from the subway (red line, Shilin MRT station), that will take you to a lot of the major sites without transfers, and Taipei Main station is only a 12 minute-ride away. It's a townhouse with 3 floors, 2 living rooms, 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, located an 8-minute walk from Shilin MRT station in a lovely quiet street. Ground floor: bike parking area, kitchen, dining area, sitting area, washroom with toilet, washer & dryer Middle floor: master bedroom with two double beds, kid's bedroom with three-floor bunkbed (top floor is play area), bathroom with sink, toilet and shower Top floor: Living room, bathroom with sink, toilet and shower, balcony

The rooms and facilities are exactly the same as shown in the pictures. The location is also good because it is quiet around the house although it is close to the MRT Shilin station. Roel is a nice person and will help you. I recommend this house.
It was a great experience to stay in Roel and Olivia house during our 3 days visit in Taipei. Room is tidy and comfortable, it look exactly the same with the picture. Roel is cheerful and willing to help. Location is convinence with just a 5-10 mins walk to mrt station. Highly recommend.
Roel & Olivia are so nice and their place is clean, well-designed and peaceful. The room is just like what you see in the pics. The neighborhood is so cool. Shilin MRT is just 5-8 mins walk, and night market, residence park, Fine Art Museum is nearby. They provided the MRT card to use. Very great experience. Highly recommend. 房主非常友善、热情，房子也超棒！干净、有设计感、宜家风格的小复式楼。一楼是厨房、洗衣房、饭厅，都可以使用；二楼是房主的房间和客房；三楼是大厅和阳台，其实更像一个小的studio，一定上去看看拍点照片。交通也很方便，士林地铁站走路5-8分钟；士林官邸走路5分钟；故宫、士林夜市都在附近。房间干净，两张床，一张双人，一张单人，唯一缺点就是窗子有点小，不是直接面对外面的，不过不影响，因为基本都要开空调。强烈推荐！
We stayed at Roel and Olivia's place in Shilin for 3 days. Roel was a friendly host, he provided EasyCards for use with the nearby MRT and buses, which was very convenient. The room was a little dark as the window is obstructed, but quiet and spacious. It was also nice to be able to do laundry. Overall a good, convenient place to stay.
Roel was warm and always available to our needs. The place is absolutely beautiful and serene. My family felt well rested and warmly welcomed. The neighbourhood was quiet, we felt that it wasn't too bustling yet wasn't too inaccessible so we could easier make our way around. The EZ was a luxury that we enjoyed, without the hassle of taking a cab everywhere that we went. Overall, a great experience and wonderful host.

Our house is on a small, quiet and friendly street, with lots of potted plants outside, in front of the houses. Once you get to the main road and turn right, there are many restaurants (sushi, dumplings, Vietnamese, vegetarian, etc.) and other shops nearby. Taipei has many convenience stores, and there are about six close to our house. The Shilin night market is also close-by, for street food and cheap clothes.
We're right on the bus line that will take you to the National Palace Museum, or you can bike it in about 10-15 minutes.
Taipei has an excellent subway system. The Shilin MRT (subway) station is a pleasant 8-minute walk away, connecting you to all the major sites on the red line (line 2) without a transfer. The hot springs are also on this line, only a few stops north of us, and it will also take you directly to Taipei Main Station, from where you can catch the (high-speed) train to elsewhere in Taiwan.
We have subway cards (EasyCards) you can use around Taipei which you are welcome to use. We'll pre-load them with credit, just make sure you return them with the same balance when you leave.
These EasyCards can also be use to rent YouBikes from every MRT station or one of the many other rental locations (first 30 minutes are free, after that it's cheap). There's a location a 4-minute walk from our house.

We're Oliva (38, teacher, Canadian) and Roel (45, graphic designer, Dutch), currently living in the very pleasant city of Taipei, Taiwan. Not unlike many other people we like travelling, exploring our city's cultural scene, and we enjoy good books, music, museums, and eating good meals at nice restaurants (but who doesn't?).
