Le logement est bien conforme à ce qui est annoncé. Le château est magnifique, il est situé au milieu d'un large terrain privé. Un gardien/caretaker réside dans la propriété, dans une maison séparée. Il est noter quelques éléments complémentaires à l'annonce : -lors de notre séjour, le jardin n'était que partiellement entretenu. Il n'y avait par exemple pas de potager comme nous l'avions espéré. -l'endroit est infesté de mouches (sans que l'on comprenne pourquoi). C'est pénible en cuisine. -il fait rapidement froid dans le château. Prévoir une épaisseur en conséquence. Globalement nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour, les propriétaires et les caretaker ont été très disponibles et aidants pour toutes nos demandes.

I LOVED this place. Stayed there with my extended family, included my 2 small kids, and we had a fantastic time. The chateau is beautiful and has a lovely feel to it, and is set in big lovely grounds. You can walk to the village, la Roche Canillac, for freshly made croissants and bread (not much else seems to happen here, but it's a very beautiful medieval stone village, complete with a tower with slits for shooting arrows.) A lot of foraging can be done: apples, blackberries, ceps, walnuts are all plentiful. There are a few other interesting towns in walking distance, and plenty to see in the area in terms of nature and history. Fantastic walks- forests, rivers, ancient ruins. Marc is a great host. Was very available and communicative via telephone and clearly feels strongly about the place and wants his guests to enjoy it. We were there in autumn and the villages were very very quiet, in some we barely saw a soul, which might not suit everyone, but I believe it's much busier in summer. We'll definitely be back!

We had a memorable holiday, packed with great memories not only in a well appointed Chateau in a stunning setting, but in a lovingly decorated; wonderful family home. We had the good fortune not only to have Ernesto & Jackie ( aka the caretaker & his wife) staying next door, but also the Chatelain, our host, staying in another house in the grounds, who kindly provided us with food and wine on our arrival as well as numerous tips on places to go ( and trading;)).. The former I can share..) We didn't want to leave... And we want to come back..
