Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay in the quiet, homey farm-house next to the house of Jacqueline and her husband. They made us feel at home right away and were fun to talk to over aperitif that they invited us to in their home. Jacqueline spoke perfect English with my family and was kind enough to speak mostly French with me for practice. We arrived late in the day and their home is down a country road that has a sign suggesting only delivery vehicles are allowed - our GPS got us most of the way there, but we relied on Jacqueline's directions at the end. We were worried that we would be too far away from attractions because we saw very little on our way in, but Jacqueline assured us that there was plenty nearby and she was correct. Short drives (10-30 min) led us to many wonderful castles, medieval towns, caves, Cro-Magnon dwellings, canoe rentals, river-boat trips and of course delicious markets and restaurants. Plenty to keep a family busy for weeks. We used the dining room and refrigerator to prepare picnic dinners for ourselves, and in the evenings Jacqueline set up self-serve breakfasts of local yogurt, orange juice, coffee (or tea) and bread or croissants with delicious home-made jam (strawberry, kiwi, cherry and plum).

Un petit coin de paradis au fond de la forêt perigourdine, à proximité de pleins de sites touristiques majeurs. Jacqueline et Pascal sont très accueillants et prévenants. On a une vraie envie de s'attarder chez eux et de profiter du temps qui passe. A renouveler sans hésiter.
