If you’re looking to visit Salvador, this is where you should stay. Conveniently located near Pelourinho but far away enough from the very touristy area to have some peace and quiet. Located right near some great bars, restaurants, and shops. At night on the weekend, the street near the airbnb really comes alive, especially outside Café e Cana Botequim. It was a great vibe. The photos matched the listing. The pool area was obviously the highlight. Overall, the place was very clean, free of clutter, and spacious. One note - the host will ask for you to pay for your electric cost, which for us was an extra RS 94,00 (2 people, 3 nights, both kept AC on all night) so not terrible but we didn’t realize until after booking. All in all, we were very happy with our stay and would stay there again if we ever came back to visit.

Enorme ! Derrière une belle façades modeste se cache un énorme duplex. Toutes les pieces sont spacieuses et propres. Chacune des 2 chambres a sa salle de bain et son dressing + air co. En descendant au -1 par ce puit de lumière, on accede à l’espace de vie (cuisine, salle a manger, salon). Comme à l’étage: parquet ciré tres élégant. La belle decoration et la bibliothèque éclectique témoignent des nombreux voyages et centres d’intérêt de Geila. Après le salon, la baie vitrée donne sur la piscine et une belle vue sur le port. Au -2, la buanderie. Suggestion: placer l’air co dans l’espace de vie aussi. Nous avons eu 2 malheureuses pannes (machine à lessiver et panne partielle de courant) mais Eliane s’est coupée en quatre pour rétablir la situation. Merci a Eliane pour sa réactivité. En face, la petite place s’anime tous les soirs et il y fait bon boire un verre ou manger. Très bon. L’appartement ne donnant pas sur la rue, on ne souffre pas du bruit.

We had a fabulous day at this beautiful apartment. Salvador is a very special city and worth exploring, but it everyone knows it gets very hot! And to have a private pool is incredible!  Easy check in and out. Eliane was kind and gracious. The apartment is so spacious and beautiful and ideally located for San Antonio do Carmo neighbourhood and a short walk down to the Pelourhino. We had a fabulous visit in Salvador.
