Agamy is an excellent destination for a weekend trip from Cairo: a calm and pretty neighborhood right by the beach, with easy access to Alexandria. The house is nicely furnished and equipped with anything you could possibly need (incl society games and rackets for beach tennis). We especially appreciated the large private terrace, which was also perfect to keep our dogs. Note for dog owners: we were able to walk ours off leash in the unpaved side-streets because cars drive very slowly, which is a huge bonus. The beach is nice (not crowded at all), but not ideal for swimmers at this time of the year, as the water was murky and turbulent. Regardless, we had a great time and will definitely rent the beach house again if we may. We also thank Nora and Laurent for the detailed explanations and recommendations for the area, as well as their flexibility arranging our stay at very short notice!

Belle maison très fonctionnelle au bord de mer. Nora très gentille et très disponible, nous a fait passer de très bonne vacances. Pour vous dire, elle nous a préparé un petit compte rendu de tout ce qu'il fallait savoir sur la maison, la plage, les commerces, resto et alentours. Sans elle, ces vacances n'auraient pas été aussi agréable ! Merci Nora !

We stayed at Nora and Laurent's apartment for 4 days in July 2015. The purpose of renting an apartment rather than staying at a hotel was mainly to be able to take our dog with us, and this apartment had the added bonus of being very close to the beach. The trip started with very helpful and detailed instructions to the location and we found the place easily. When we arrived, we found a couple of bulbs fused and the pedestal fans not working, but Nora and Laurent immediately arranged for the helper to bring the bulbs and offered to pay for two fans that I could buy from a nearby store. The apartment is suitable best for a family with two kids or for two couples since there are two bedrooms with big beds and the third bedroom is more of a storage room with a sofa bed. There were plenty of board games and sports equipment like paddle tennis and football as well as cycles that are available so there is a lot of options to keep busy while not at the beach. The beach is a very short walk and we were given access cards to a private side of the beach with lesser crowds. There are good options for groceries, food and drinks very close to the apartment. The private balcony/verandah is very useful and allowed us to keep the dog occupied and also for us to play some paddle tennis. Nora and Laurent are always very pleasant and helpful and we had a good stay at their apartment.
