Good choice for an Airbnb stay. Located in a quiet/peaceful setting in the countryside. Buildings have an ancient look to them, impressive. One of the best features is its location close to Chestnut Hill, an upscale neighbourhood of Philadelphia. Lots of shopping and restaurants there. You could catch the train from there to downtown Philadelphia. Looking for an authentic roadside diner, try Bruno's just around the corner. Found this Airbnb to allow for easy access to King of Prussia Mall and downtown Philadelphia - about 30 minutes each away. A great hiking trail, just down the road. Would book there again, for sure.

It's a pretty spot, and I slept very well there. There were a few things that I found difficult about staying there. Most were small but they added up and I wished I had stayed at a hotel instead. Door between bathroom and living room didn't close which was hard when having anyone come by, other doors didn't close properly, there was an ant infestation, smaller amount of ladybugs and stink bugs, had to be vigilant not to leave a crumb of anything out or the ants would find it, broken stair on the way up to the apartment. I had to wipe things down a lot where the ants were (in three of the four rooms) and the floor and other things I might not have noticed if I wasn't always cleaning were actually pretty dirty. If you just need a place to hang your hat for a night or two, it would be fine. I stayed a couple weeks and needed to be there to work so I was there in the apartment a lot. The owner was very nice and quick to respond.

I needed a nice quiet time to work in the Philly area. The place was just perfect for this. I prefer to do my own cooking, so I didn't have the opportunity investigate restaurants in the neighborhood. However, the Giant grocery store and Target were minutes away, which was great. Highly recommended for relaxation and nice walks in the nearby beautiful park.

Right before Christmas I had a sewer leak at our home. We needed a place to go and I came across this beautiful enchanted cottage backed up to the beautiful Wissahickon park. At the end of our stay I realized I was given a magical gift by just staying there. Words cannot describe it!! I would go back again under different circumstances. And, I only live 8 minutes away. A big shout out to thank Sam, the caretaker. He was sweet and wonderful to me and my daughter!! Carole Concannon
