What better place to watch an eclipse than from a hot tub! We very much enjoyed the cabin, campfire and secluded area. The trails were wide and very well kept with spots to stop to rest or even have a picnic including a fire pit. Walking on the trails it felt like I was far away from the cabin, but was not. I highly recommend this cozy location.

Lars's place is charming, eclectic and quirky. Lars himself is super friendly and always eager to help. We enjoyed relaxing under the snow and stars while our dogs loved to roam around. The house was less than 10 minutes to Bennington, offering easy access to everything we needed and some great hikes, but it had enough quiet and privacy to feel like we were far away from it all. The place's charm came with some idiosyncrasies. The kitchen was a bit dark and hard to navigate. A breaker for the bathroom lights had popped before we got there and hadn't been reset since the last visitor. We had to reach out to request plowing of the driveway. Still, these were all minor foibles and we had a cozy, relaxing stay.

on top of being beautiful, cozy, and very uncommon, Lar's place was clean, well-equipped, and easy to enjoy. Lars is very accessible, though his instructions were clear enough that we never needed help.

The barn and surrounding property is magical. The sky is like a planetarium, Jupiter in view, many constellations and even caught a glimpse of of the Milky Way. Just fell in the with the barn and all its eccentricities. So incredibly comfortable and relaxing. Almost better than home. Lars was also very responsive to my inquiries. Highly recommend a stay.
