After 15 minutes, drive from Chios Town, at an altitude of 340 metres above sea level, lays the medieval village of St. George Sykoussis. All furnishings are respectfully chosen reincarnating the old living with a modern touch. Mountainous and picturesque with lush views to the planes of the island and the coast of Minor Asia. The village is a habitable, friendly and quiet environment with traditional cafes and mini-markets. Hop in a car and tour round the island, as the central location of the village offers you easy and quick access to all sites and beaches you wish to visit.

This house has to be the BEST equipped AirBNB home I have ever stayed in. A masterpiece. Brilliant design. Every little detail has been thought of; everything accounted for. 2 very talented architects redesigned this 200/300 year old stone home in a mountain-top village on the island of Chios. Everything is NEW, upgraded and absolutely amazing. This house us more high-tech than mine. What a contrast to the old, rustic, ruins that exist in this very quaint historic small village. Definitely worth the experience if you really want to live like a local. St. George Sikousis is right in the middle of the island. 15-20 min to downtown Chios on the right and 15 min to the most spectacular blue/green beaches to the left. The village also provides a wonderful experience. There are a few restaurants, coffee shops, a mini market and a pharmacy in the village so you have access to basics. And the villages hosts festivals/parties in the summer. July 20, July 27, August 6, and August 15th (this is BIG Holiday). Opa! I will be staying here again!

very nice place to stay with a super restauration work and very nicely equiped flat all in stones. you will feel really at home with everything you need: wifi, tv, clim,; the kitchen is big and well equiped you can eat there. The village is quit and has very nice stone houses, you can find two places to eat and a small market. no problem for parking not far from the house. The village is located not far from chios city, even 20mn to the south villages... no hesitation so...and the host is very kind for your stay...

At the entrance of the village there are 2 kafeneia and a mini market<br>At the square Boo, there is a mini market and a outdoor restaurant and the church of St. George. The are also 2 restaurants on the east side of the village with fantastic view of the planes of kambos area. Easter celebrations - Greek Easter week, Local feasts - panygiri in August.
The village is a habitable, friendly and quiet environment with traditional restaurants, cafes and mini-markets.

Chios island - (north) eastern aegean islands- the fifth largest island in greece is accessible by air (Chios Homer Airport) with Aegean airlines, Olympic air, Astra airlines and Sky Express (from Athens, Thessaloniki, Lemnos, Rhodes, Mykonos & Samos) and other European cities (Brussels - Amsterdam, Vienna, Prague, Oslo, etc.). Easy access from cesme every day by ferry (approx. 30 minutes). Ferries to chios from Pireus (Athens) & Lavrion (South Athens) ports to chios and mesta ports are also available on and take 6-8 hours.
Hop in a car and tour round the island, as the central location of the village offers you easy and quick access to all sites and beaches you wish to visit.
