What a nice cottage! We felt at home, even for just one night. The house has a very homely decor, the kitchen is very cute and the bed is delicious. Our 11-month-old baby and she had a lot of fun. The crib seemed to be comfortable, as she slept well during her nap and nighttime sleep, which was my worry on this trip. You have to be very careful if you go with a baby who is already crawling or walking. The house is cold and you will need the stove. The living room and kitchen area are very warm, the dining room and bedroom are very cold and the heat from the stove doesn't seem to reach there, even with the door opened, but the bed is heated and for my daughter, we took a sleeping bag thicker and worked well. The floor is heated which is nice! If I could change something would be an earlier check-in, especially with the baby. And we could enjoy more =D I'd like to thank Sonia for opening the door for us to experience a little of the traditional cottage of Ireland.
Excellent few nights stay at Sonia's place. Sonia was super helpful (and proactive) in helping me find the cottage and accessing it. Amazing and relaxing place to spend a few nights. Loved the renovation, extremely comfirtable and warm even in winter. Very high quality furnishings throughout. Highly recommended.
Lovely stay in this beautiful cottage. Milk, eggs and bread left out for us. Sonia was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. Cottage is very cosy and surrounding area is beautiful. Great pressure in the shower!! Lots of interesting books and board games- a very special place. Thank you for having us!

Cozy historical cottage. Bigger than it looks on the pictures, everything is a bit too old but it’s part of the charm of the house.

A natural host who enjoys meeting new people and sharing her unique home. Always happy to go that extra bit to ensure a comfortable stay. Sonia brought her Thatched cottage back to life from a delicate state so it truely has been a labour of love. Sonia shares her farm with two horses, six calves and one very special cat called Gin - who is part of the furniture!! Located next door to the Scarteen hunt kennels the hounds can always be relied upon for an wake up call.
