Called Balumba homestay so put that down in maps for accurate directions! Great locals stay at the place amazing to talk to and get too know! You pay for what you get and it’s a decent basic room!
Erdin was a nice guy and super friendly. The place was nice and clean and in a good location. Everything we could ask for for the price. The only issue would be that the location of the house was different to the location given on the Airbnb app. The owner did communicate with us and come and collect us which was very helpful.

At Balumba we have made a conscious effort to make the Bungalows as ECO friendly and sustainable as possible in order to reduce our impact on the Island fragile eco system. The Bungalows themselves have been '' up-cycled '', renovated from already existing structures, and using recycled building materials wherever possible. We put a large emphais on not only our garden, but in our neighbor's garden and streets so well.
This little island combines the best of a tropical island lifestyle with the facilities and services to make an ideal holiday getaway. There is excellent snorkeling and diving off the coast , soft white sand beaches for swimming and sun bathing , a fantastic selection of restaurants and bars for dining and socializing , and a lively nightlife scene at night.
GETTING AROUND THE ISLAND :
One of the best features of the Gili Islands is that no cars and motorbikes are allowed. Making the Gili Island the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busier areas of Indonesia. Balumba Bungalows are conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the best beaches, shops and restaurants that the island has to offer. You can just as easily reach the harbor, night market, sunset viewpoint, or the top of the panoramic Trawangan Hill from our ideal central location. Nothing on the island is to far to reach by foot, but renting bicycle for the day is an easy and affordable option to leisurely explore the island.
