Our stay was great! Amazing views and was the perfect get away for our family! We were looking for a place to unplug and be close to the water and this was perfect for us. The path down to Buck creek was traveled on each day and my boys loved the easy fishing access. We’re already planning a trip back.

We really enjoyed our stay! The only suggestions I’d recommend for sure is getting the house treated for wasps- we found a number of live wasps. And then the second suggestion is to have more washcloths for showers. Other than that it was great! Thanks Gerald for the comfy stay!

Nothing could beat the view off the decks! This is a lake house, so there was an occasional stink bug or spider but that is bound to happen with a home in the middle of the woods on water. There were plenty of places to hang out and the beds were reasonably comfortable. There are some carpet stains and whatnot, but overall very clean. There were plenty of towels for myself and 4 teenage boys! The kitchen was pretty well stocked - I did leave some ziplock bags we brought since there wasn't anything to really put leftovers in. Simple brew coffee pot and plenty of filters in the cabinet, but bring your own bag of coffee! The walk through the woods down to the cove is pretty rough, but well worth the trip for me - gorgeous landscape! Of course the boys were zipping up and down the path to swim every day. Having the canoes to fish out of was an awesome bonus!! 2 of the canoes were used daily - bring your fishing poles! Also a bonus was the fire wood provided so we could do a fire pit.

We had a great time at Gerald’s place at the lake. The view from both porches was absolutely beautiful! The cabin was bigger than I anticipated and I was pleasantly surprised at how well stocked it was with kitchen spices, condiments, utensils, pots/pans, etc. The cabin is older and we had a small issue when we arrived, but Gerald was quick to respond and the issue was resolved as soon as possible. The kids really enjoyed the basketball hoop, paddle boards and canoes! The cave behind the house and the walk down to the lake was gorgeous (although quite steep and rocky as mentioned in the description). Bring your bug spray! Gerald was super friendly and polite, very accommodating and really went above and beyond for us, which is very much appreciated! We had a great time and we would love to come here again!
