We had a brilliant stay at Feltham's Farm. Penny and Marcus were warm and knowledgable hosts, the cottage was neat and cosy, the animals were a joy and their organic cheeses were utterly delicious. We saw the tiniest baby birds nesting in the haystacks and a truly stunning fiery sunrise. We were lucky enough to visit when there was a piglet there, who we very much enjoyed getting to know; and we were delighted to feed the sheep. We picked a couple of local walks from the OS maps provided, glorious in spring; visited the Haynes Motor Museum on a rainy day and nearly got blown off Glastonbury Tor in the wind. The bravest among us had a quick dip in the beautifully clear natural swimming pool. We didn't use the TV but played scrabble from the cabinet. We didn't try any from the extensive list of recommended restaurants, as the farm shops lining the road approaching the cottage sold local and fresh ingredients for cooking, which we washed down with local cider from our hosts.

We loved our stay at the farm. Our three year old was over the moon at the opportunity to feed the animals and walk around the orchard & fields. The cottage was sweet and had everything we needed. As described - this is a working farm and you are able to become a part of it, mud, machinery, animals, cheese and all. This isn’t a picture perfect tidy yard but a real life glimpse of life down the farm. This meant keeping the 3 year old close by at all times but not a problem at all. Hosts were fantastic and friendly sharing veg, cheese and other goodies with us. We got fresh bread and cinnamon rolls from Lovingtons and went horse riding at Pevlings farm as recommended and both were great. We would definitely return - so good to escape the city and a really fun and unique experience.

Our little family of three stayed at Penny’s farm house cottage for nearly three weeks. It was such a treat for my London kids to experience a real farm and to be allowed to roam free without needing constant supervision. There’s of course farm equipment and areas that need to be off limits but Penny and her family were great at letting us know what was safe and what wasn’t. The surrounding area is beautiful and there’s plenty to do and see. Penny provided an extensive list although we mostly chose to rest and enjoy a schedule-free holiday. There are a few great walks around the farm and an insane amount of blackberries to be freely picked. This was a highlight with my kids. The cottage provides everything needed for a country break. Bring wellies! I’ve promised my kids we can return to Penny’s cottage. Thank you for making our summer holiday extra special!

I must admit we had VERY HIGH hopes as a family for this farm stay, and we were not in any way disappointed!! there was so much to love about the farm, the cottage and the surrounding area. we were made to feel part of the family, and felt truly welcome to roam freely around the farm or to be apart of farm life. The cottage was a PERFECT space for our young family, the farm had more than enough to keep us busy, but also feel rested. I honestly could not speak more highly of our experience at the farm!!
