Perfect for a large family gathering at this paradise in Umbria. It is like staying at a house of a good friend - elegant , interesting and extremely comfortable. We loved the pool, the pictures, the lighting inside and out, and the books made it feel very homely with two eccentric cats. The recommendation of having a chef to give us a cooking lesson and a meal was a triumph, great fun and great food. The garden is gorgeous, established and full of herbs that we used in our cooking. The host was so kind and responsive when we had two medical issues and went out of her way to help us. We used the whole house, including both kitchens and the cottage all of which worked really well. Mario is the handyman and he was courteous and responsive, lighting the pellet fire one night for us and making sure that the pool was in good order. We managed fine with the phone translation when as we did not share a language. Highly recommended place we would love to return to.

Our experience at the Country House in Umbria, hosted by Patrizia, was absolutely delightful! Patrizia gave us a warm welcome and provided a thorough tour of the property during check-in. The property itself was stunning, offering picturesque and lovely surroundings. The highlight of our stay was the amazing wine tasting experience and being by the pool, which my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed. However, we did encounter a minor inconvenience - our booking did not include access to all the bedrooms, which was disappointing. To make matters worse, we had to pay extra to use a different bedroom, which was unexpected. In terms of location, although it was advertised as a 1-hour drive from Rome, it took us closer to 1 hour and 30 minutes to get there. Overall, Patrizia's warm hospitality and the charm of the property made our stay unforgettable.

The place was just what we needed: a house which quickly felt like a home for us; was big and spacious enough to fit our 3 families; very well equipped; quiet and secluded so we didn't have to keep the kids quiet all the time :) The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Patrizia’s place. Gorgeous views over the valley and a lovely big swimming pool. We really enjoyed eating on the shaded terrace and cooking on the BBQ. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need. The bedrooms are pleasant and well appointed, and almost all have their own bathroom. It is worth knowing that two of the smaller bedrooms at the back of the house cannot be accessed directly from the main living area so might not suit young children. We did not have access to the separate little cottage. The Wi-Fi did not work well but this was no problem for us. San Vito is a short walk up a steep hill - and there is a great bar “Willy’s Bar” with a terrace and a friendly owner, and a separate restaurant across the square that we would not recommend. For anything else eg shops, bakery etc you have to take a car towards Narni. Local highlights: white water rafting, swimming in ice cold blue green water near Stifone, visiting Narni and Orvieto.
