its a perfect place if you like peace and quiet. Its very local woth little tourists and you have to drive 15/20 min to the nearest town for groceries. With nature come also animals so only book if you are not afraid. We stayed with friends and 2 Kids (2 and 5) and i think its best suitable for 5+. we enjoyed a nearby aquapark and all the Coffee, food & drinks and the market in the nearby town pianello. The house has everything you need its jut not very modern. Christina is very sweet and responds super fast. An umbrella broke and she bought a New one which was great.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 2 semaines chez Cristina. L'endroit est SUPER calme, pas de voisins alentour et une vue magnifique sur les collines. Cristina habite à côté mais elle est très discrète tout en restant toujours disponible. La piscine est parfaite et le logement dans son ensemble est fonctionnel. Nous n'avions juste pas fait attention au fait qu'il n'y a pas de lave-vaisselle... :-) Il y a par contre une buanderie pratique avec machine à laver. La literie est de très bonne qualité et confortable. Toutes les fenêtres sont équipées de moustiquaires et la terrasse couverte ultra pratique et conviviale. Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu de vacances pour toute personne/famille désireuse d'être au calme et de profiter de la nature. Un avantage également est que la région ne compte presque pas de touristes malgré les nombreux beaux villages et villes à visiter ! Et le village avec tous les commerces ne se trouve qu'à 10-15 minutes en voiture... Merci Cristina ! :-)

Abbiamo scelto questo alloggio per il mese di luglio ma non siamo rimasti soddisfatti appieno. Il Wi-Fi non ci consentiva di lavorare, casa troppo isolata e lontana dai centri abitati. Abbiamo lasciato la casa prima della fine del nostro periodo pagato,. Poca manutenzione della casa (non si poteva fare la doccia utilizzando il doccino attaccato alla sbarra in quanto non lo sosteneva; tale segnalazione era già stata fatta da altri clienti e la proprietaria non ha sistemato entrambe le docce). La mancanza della lavastoviglie ci è pesato molto in quanto il costo della casa dovrebbe essere equiparato ai servizi e ritengo che il costo della locazione sia troppo alto per quello che viene offerto.

Prachtig huis op een prachtige locatie. Zwembad is een grote meerwaarde, we hebben er veel gebruik van gemaakt. De wespen die er zijn, zijn niet agressief, maar komen af en toe wat drinken. Buiten hier en daar wat muggen, binnen niet vanwege de horren. Het huis van alle gemakken voorzien. De douche boven geeft een kleine straal, maar wij hebben vanwege het weer vooral de douche buiten gebruikt. Manuela is zeer behulpzaam, we mochten haar altijd berichten via app als we vragen hadden. De weg er naartoe lijkt wat spannend, maar valt reuze mee. De weg naar Bobbio durfden wij niet te nemen. Er is echter voldoende te doen. Plaatsen als Pianello, Borgonovo en Piacenza zijn absoluut de moeite waard.

What a wonderful 11 nights we had here! Christina’s air bnb: Ronco Rosso was simply lovely. Firstly she greeted us upon arrival and advised about all the necessities regarding the house, pool, electrics, etc. Secondly she invited us to help ourselves to the plums and figs available on the trees at the property and left a bottle of wine, which although we didn’t drink, was a lovely gesture. Ok, so things to know: KITCHEN: We brought our own washing up liquid, sponges and tea towels - they were not necessary as they’re already provided. All other cutlery and crockery is there as standard. BEDROOM: All sheets and bedding are also provided. All the beds are firm - no lumps or bumps. I brought my own pillows anyway but each bed is provided with the standard 2 for double and 1 for single. There is a fan provided but only for the big room. I also brought my own eco friendly fan but, if you keep the windows open you should be fine too. WIFI: Data roaming is non existent as you get closer to the house so make sure you have the journey saved in your app when you start to see less civilization. The place has WiFi but it doesn’t really work on the ground floor of the house. Go upstairs or, where the chair swing and curtains are outside, and you should be fine. We also brought our chrome cast and plugged it into the tv and took it upstairs 2 of the evenings to watch movies in bed. The WiFi is better upstairs too. WASHING: There is a washing machine and a line with pegs, available too. We brought our own washing tabs and softener although I think there was stuff you could use if you forgot. BATHROOM: There is a shower, toilet and bidet on the first floor and a shower and toilet on the ground floor. towels and handsoap are provided. Bring your own toilet roll if staying for a few days. Plenty is provided but always handy to have extra. POOL: Lots of pool fun like inflatables, for the kids, are also available although we didn’t use them. I would recommend using the pool cleaning equipment (filter attached but, also a bottom pool cleaner can be used) before you use the pool. Bugs go there to die but they’re easily removed. A pool net, for floaters, is also provided. If you have any problems with the filter then switch off the power, check the filter outside of the pool, empty a little water, and then the pressure should come back when you turn it back on. There’s also an outside shower to rinse off before and after pool use. CONTACT: Christina is also available via WhatsApp if you have any questions. TRANSPORT: You DEFINITELY need a car. We walked in the hot Italian sun to remove our garbage and, unless you like a bit of a hike, I think we made a mistake going during the day :D BUGS: YES, there are wasps, mosquitoes and other flying insects but, they mostly leave you alone as long as you bring repellent/ deet. To be honest, after the 2nd day, we didn’t even see many wasps so perhaps mid-late august is a good time to visit. You are in a mountain area so bugs are unavoidable. It was no big deal to us. FOOD: Check with Christina what is open on your arrival day and buy all you need at least for a few days are there are no nearby grocery stores. She also provides a bbq and coal should you wish to use it. NEARBY: There are plenty of hiking and biking trails all around - you’ll see signs for them when you drive to the house. The local town is very enchanting, you may drive through it. Definitely worth a visit And, thankfully for us, a food festival was on during our stay. The large castle unfortunately for us, is only open on Saturday but, I’m sure it’s worth a visit too. I think there’s a cave to visit too but we missed that. Maybe you can look in to it via Google or, maybe ask Christina for details. There is a small castle which is also a little town and has a wellness center. Book in advance for the restaurant and if you want to use the wellness center, book directly whilst there. They don’t speak much English so a translate app will save you! Christina can give more details. Piacenza is also in driving distance and boasts many cute places to eat and drink. Riverago is also in driving distance and is simply stunning too. SUMMARY: if I was going to have a few days away with friends, or a small family, I would highly recommend this place. It boasts 6 bedrooms and stunning views and, plenty of privacy. A couples visit also works but, it might be better to split the cost if there’s a few more of you. We used the BBQ, played loud music whilst having aperitifs and, enjoyed the beautiful clear skies and stars at night. It was just the 2 of us but, it could easily hold more people. And, if you’re as lucky as we were, you might see a couple of deer and foxes too. 10/10.
