We are located on quiet road, just 3minute distance to samadi bali, 1,5km from Echo Beach - good spot for experienced surfers , 2.1 km from Batu Bolong Beach - good for beginners , intermediate and longboard hippies. On Batu Bolong Beach you can find two small restaurants and Old Men club - where many people gravitate on party days - Wednesday and Sat especially - good Dj and you can feel is crowded with westerners. . Echo Beach offers nice big restaurant on the rocks just one step to the sea and Sand Bar - club on the beach which busy couple times per week and where everybody heads for after party until morning. There is also Pretty Poison club - with skating bowl , bar and stage for live playing bands. These three clubs are around 7 minutes drive on motorbike from my place and they have big parties but never play together to keep the village not too busy. There is a lot of small restaurants , eco shops , fashion shops all around 5 minutes by scooter from my place on parallel road - Batu Bolong. But the road where the my house is more quiet so night traffic is not a problem and you can feel like in a village. If you want to see Bali and travel to Ubud - 1h30 minute in traffic , Seminyak around 1/2 h , Kuta 1h - in heavy traffic.
To sum up - Canggu is still quiet to compare to Kuta and Seminyak but already started to develop so its kind of mix of traditional village with modern night life - Deus and Old Man clubs and couple of smaller ones . My place is not a posh villa - but local house with a temple in the garden and family around but you get independent building with own kitchen , bathroom and toilet and little space with bench and table outside.
