This is one of the best places in Sri Lanka or in the world to experience the unique fauna and flora that is endemic only to this place. What a better place to enjoy the serenity of the unique Knuckles range staying at Eagles Crest. I personally have stayed in Eagles crest many years back and this is just amazing to experience it all over again. Full of trekking excursions for the adventures individuals. Amenities have improved with ample shower rooms , beds , sofas , garden tables and chairs surrounding the property. The care taker SIRISENA is the person who has been there from the start with his amazing hospitality and the tasty food he cooks. He is part of the place now for the last 22 years or so. This was the only place available for visitors at the start when I stayed 17 years back. I would definitely recommend any one who are looking for a short or long stay.

This is a place with a stunning view and this was the only plus point. For the price of the house there’s only one bathroom with hot water, no air conditioner. Caretakers cook if only the ingredients are brought for them. Beds are uncomfortable, house is old and need maintenance. This a two to three star place. Please contact the host and get confirmation that she has informed the caretaker of your arrival otherwise you will have to stand near the gate for while like we did. Also it is recommended to have a four wheel drive if you are planning to stay as it is a gravel road.

A beautiful location with fantastic scenery, the bungalow provides a nice setting for appreciating nature and family/friend bonding. Trekking from the bungalow to Corbet's Gap is an ideal activity to do, although you can also get there by road. There are other walks you can do with some nice views also. (But be prepared for leeches!) The facilities at the bungalow are fitting to the nature of the place, being adequate for all your main needs. Just remember to bring the food ingredients you need and a cook will be there to do prepare the meals. Overall, a very enjoyable time was had by all.
