Our stay at Gisèle’s was by far the best experience I have had on Airbnb. The house itself was absolutely beautiful. So much care has been taken in the restoration of this old monastery. Every piece of furniture specifically chosen and with a story! The location is unbelievably tranquil and picturesque. Gisèle is what really made this experience incredible, she was an incredible host, cooked an incredible dinner and breakfast, provided coffee and conversation, took us to see the beautiful cedar reserve (must see,) organized for our transport to our next destination and most importantly made us feel thoroughly at home. I cannot recommend staying with Gisèle highly enough. We will definitely be back!

We had a really nice and much too short stay in Gisele’s beautiful and relaxed place. She’s a very helpful, hospitable and friendly host. And she serves a great breakfast. We’ll be back!

We had a wonderful stay with Gisèle! It was really relaxing and Gisèle made delicious breakfasts and was keen to help and ensure we had a lovely time. The place is gorgeous and very comfortable. We enjoyed exploring a beautiful walk and a delicious restaurant nearby. Can’t wait to return - thank you Gisèle! :-)

I had been wanting to stay at Gisele's for a long time and was very happy that I finally made it to Saqi Rechmaya! I would like to thank Giselle very much for being such a warm, flexible, caring and generous host. I came with a friend to disconnect from the buzz of the city and relax but also do some work. Giselle was tireless in helping us feel right during our stay! She let me use her kitchen at 4am so I could make my coffee and start working, she got us fridge so we could store the summer fruits and seasonal treats we had got on the way to her place. Giselle also gave us many recommendations of places to eat in the villages around her place and arranged for a local tour and took us to one of the last living master beekeepers in this region of Lebanon. Thank you, dear Giselle, for all that you did for us. Your elegance and grace were soul-filling and nourishing. Merci iktir from Marta & Mireille!
