Jaenette was very kind and told us about things to do in the area. The campsite we were at was up a little higher and had a great view of the ocean. There were other people down lower but this spot was very private. We pitched the tent right on the sand and it was great until the wind picked up in the night and filled the tent with sand 😄 These things make for good stories! I think next next time we’ll make the bed in the back of the truck so as to avoid that. With a Discover Pass, we were able to use the shower in the state park. All in all, it was a great adventure and I’d recommend the spot!

This beach spot cannot be beat for primitive camping. The view is incredible, beach access is close, and Jeanette was easy to coordinate with. We saw so many shooting stars! It took us awhile to adjust to our surroundings- here are some things I wish I had known in advance before I camped here. BRING EVERYTHING YOU NEED. We assumed there would be a grocery store or restaurant nearby like other beach towns, we were wrong. There’s a gas station a short drive south where we bought fixings for camp stove dinner. There are towns 20 mins north or south. Bring all your groceries with you. BATHROOM IS FAR. Walk took one hour round trip. Drive is quick. Plan on driving to the bathroom. NEXT TO PUBLIC BEACH ACCESS. The campsite is right next to a public beach entrance where folks park their vehicles and walk down to the beach. There were a cast of characters including people who tied a big dog off their car and left for 1/2 a day. We felt like we needed to be mindful of our surroundings.

This spot was perfect for our large group. As others said, she called beforehand to discuss amenities and to ensure that we understood it would be primitive camping. We were grateful for the head’s up because we brought lots of water to help with hand washing and teeth brushing! There were some pretty aggressive wasps on-site that we battled, but Jaenette said she would go out to find the nest and take care of it. The location was incredible because of the proximity to the beach. I created a bridge over the rocks to have a more comfortable walk to the water from the site. (I hope it holds up and that others will use it!) Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the ocean made me never want to leave! I look forward to returning. This was an amazing stay. Despite personal issues she was going through she went out of her way to help us get to the site and took time to suggest fun attractions. She was very honest about the amenities being slightly different than what she normally has available and she did so the second we booked this site so we were not suprised upon arrival. Great price, great location, and a friendly face!

What a lovely little beach camping gem on the Washington coast. I highly recommend Jaenette’s place to anyone looking to beach camp in a peaceful place with very little people. Jaenette is such a sweet woman and incredible host. You will greatly enjoy your stay here!
