We had such a great time, the location was amazing and so close to everything. Huge plus on the lodge main lobby, was very inviting with the huge fireplace and tons to do- games for all ages, puzzles, dvds to borrow and more! Only thing we wished they would have had was a vending machine for drinks maybe and the mention that the pool was closed. Our jacuzzi tubs hot water wasn’t working at all at first but talked to a maintenance man there that was very kind and by the time we got back an hour later he had fixed it! We will definitely be back!

We had an okay stay. We were able to make the best of it. Scenery was pretty. The pool didn’t work at all but the hot tub did. the whirlpool in the suite was lovely. Our check in went smooth, but after we left to go out on the town we got back and noticed that our entry door wasn’t locked, and wouldn’t even latch shut. We could push it open with our hands. We Weren’t able to sleep well that night. In the morning we went to the front desk around 7 and was greeted by different staff than check in. I expressed our safety concern with our room door not closing and the woman wasn’t concerned. Checked back later a few hours later and she said maintenance would get to it later. this same staff member called me saying we needed to move my vehicle when we were parked in down town galena. manager said later the model of the vehicle that needed moved wasn’t even the same as ours. Manager got us into a new room. When walking by front desk the initial rude worker made a remark about us moving rooms

While it does say in the listing the bed is in a common area, I feel that it did not properly advertise that the bed was a Murphy bed and was only a full size mattress. We stayed for two nights and each of the nights one of us ended up sleeping on the couch. It was also disappointing to not know that the pool area was closed until we checked in.

My husband and I stayed here for our mini moon and it was perfect! Staff was so kind and even gave us a bottle of wine from a local winery to help us celebrate! The Lodge it’s self was amazing! Lots to do with the game room and the common spaces! The pool was under construction while we stayed but it looks like it would be great as well! I highly recommend staying here!!
