Absolutely beautiful place to spend the weekend. We were lucky enough to get into town early in the day ahead of a winter storm, then wake up to snowy views in every direction the next morning. The home was cozy and comfortable, an easy drive into Ranchos de Taos or Taos, even with snowy roads. We decided to stay in a make ourselves brunch, and the kitchen had everything we needed to do so (aside from our groceries). The beds were comfy, and having the radiant heating was perfect. The fact that the home is pet-friendly is a bonus!

The sunsets were amazing and the amount of stars in the sky made this the perfect place to relax and paint. It’s was 90° + degrees this trip so I was happy that the master bedroom had an air conditioner. We loved playing Taos Monopoly and appreciated the treats and fresh eggs left. Wendy has a lovely home very close to all the attractions we wanted to see.

Wow! What an amazing host and an amazing house! From the 360° snow top Mountain View’s to the inside of the cozy warm house, you can’t go wrong here. Everything was so clean and organized and Wendy makes sure that you feel right at home. You literally, can just pack a bag of clothes and nothing else and be just fine. The house is stocked with anything you may need! I love that there are condiments in the refrigerator and spices and oils in the cabinet. Makes staying in and soaking up the views over a home cooked meal so easy! We will definitely book here again for our next family snow getaway. And the fenced in back yard is another bonus if you have a pup coming along for the vaca!

I partially grew up in Ranchos and I loved staying here. If you enjoy sunsets, sunrise, stargazing then this is the place for you! And if you take the backroads you can get to the plaza/north side of town quickly and avoid construction traffic. The house layout is nice for letting the family spread out with privacy, and the mud room entryway is so convenient when coming back from sledding at US Hill or hiking the Gorge rim. I had to work remotely and the internet was fine except for video conferencing was spotty - but our family of 4 streaming together may have been too much for the WiFi. I did notice the dining table/chairs are quite high, which was a bit hard for my mom’s bad knee. On the other hand the shower had extra bars and low profile tub for accessibility. We had a few items come up during our stay and Wendy was super responsive! We were staying for Christmas and my kids really appreciated the holiday decorations. I look forward to staying here again when visiting family.
