This host was very helpful in the beginning and very rude and disrespectful in the end. So beware the furniture in the photos is not the furniture there. The weekend we stayed there was a moonshine festival happening which had the street blocked off to get to the house and we had to find an alternate route. As one of the few black faces there, we were starred at, and someone actually called us out our name. The house smelled of mold as soon as you walked through the door. I completely understand that it was built in the 1900s, but upkeep is something that must be done to any home. I would think it is something that would be done to one being used as a vacation rental. There were big cracks in the ceiling, bird poo on the TV stand, couch, and sheets. As I at the time of this stay had a 4 month old baby and my husband and I both have asthma we could not stay here. I had sent a message before and received no response,so I immediately called Air BnB and reported the problem,and sent photos

Never stay here. Wow. Lies on her guests. I have stayed in Air B&Bs since 2016. All explore have been excellent except this one. I spent a muggy evening & morning because the air conditioning that was advertised was missing. Neither the WiFi nor iron was available either. These specific amenities is why I rented there close to my appointment. After reaching out she replied at 9pm offering to drop an iron by. By that time I had other arrangements made. She said fans were upstairs & that the WiFi would need to be checked later. After reflecting on a miserable stay, I reached out to Rebecca to make this right. I would not stay in a hotel without air, WiFi, or an iron. She lied saying the iron was in the closet. I sent pics proving otherwise. She then accused me of smoking in the house. I do not smoke at all. Finally after all this, I get, “Please don’t ever book my place again.” Needless to say I won’t. She lies on her guests. Stay away. Worth the drive out of town.

We rented this place to ride the tecumseh trails. It was about a 5 minute road ride to the trails. Once we parked the vehicle’s Friday we didn’t get back in them till we were leaving on Sunday. Would definitely stay again.

Very friendly folks in the town but there are some problems with the house that needs a competent tradesman to fix. Hope they get the security alarm system straightened out. The house has the old fashioned world feel but needs some work . We did find it to be clean.
