Ancient mountain hut of 1786 completely renovated by hand located on the panoramic side of the Western Val Grosina at 1190 meters above sea level. From the outdoor lawn the view dominates the surrounding alpine valley and even inside the hut you can breathe the mountain. Cozy and warm rooms with interiors finished in wood, accommodate 4 people with a double bedroom and a bedroom with 2 single beds. An ideal accommodation for those who love relaxation, nature and sport. The Baita in Valgrosina is arranged on several floors. At the entrance you will find a complete bathroom with shower and wood-burning boiler for hot water. Going up the stairs you enter the main floor with the kitchen, the dining table and a relaxation area with two comfortable armchairs. On the same floor there is the double bedroom with a large wardrobe for storing personal effects. An internal wooden staircase finally leads to the attic floor where two single beds are arranged, in an intimate and simple environment. Electricity is supplied through solar panels and a 12 volt control unit for the lights and through an inverter the sockets operate at 220 volts. The spaces of the Baita in Valgrosina respect the original environments of the house which dates back to 1786 and reflect a typical Valtellinese mountain hut.

« Michela is a particularly friendly and attentive hostess. The environment is magnificent with very beautiful walks / hikes to Malghera and Eita. The roads are splendid and very narrow. The accommodation is suitable for backpackers and offers minimal comfort. The water heater will put your scouting skills to good use! »

La posizione della baita è un ottimo punto di partenza per escursioni nelle due valli che compongono la "val grosina". La baita è facilmente raggiungibile dall'abitato di Grosio in una ventina di minuti. La vista dal cortile è molto bella. La baita è inserita in un contesto con altre proprietà attigue. L'arredamento è essenziale ma confortevole, ma manca un po' il fascino della baita di montagna. L'abitazione, come riportato nell'annuncio è su più livelli con scale un po' ripide.

Nice place to enjoy life in the mountains. Adele was a great host and easy to communicate with. She had great tips for walking/hiking in the area. We recommend a trip by train from Tirano to st. Morritz. Not with the Bernina express, but the regional train. Same station, same track. You don't have to reserve and can choose your trip by the weather, windows can be opened for nice fotos and it is a lot cheaper.

we had an amazing 5 days in fusion. the hut is located perfectly in the mountains. If you drive up the mountain even further to Eita or Malghera, you can start amazing hikes from 1700/1900 meters (there are dedicated parking lots and good signalling). There are also possibilities to eat at the rifugios. Perfect valley with astonishing hikes and a variety of landscapes. We spent 5 days here and we would have needed a couple of days more to do all the hikes that we wanted to do.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Durch die höhere Lage haben wir die Hitze nicht so doll gespürt. Auch der klasse Ausblick und die Ruhe waren super. Insgesamt sehr erholsam!

The beautiful holiday home in Valgrosina takes its name from the small alpine valley in which it is inserted. From the center of the municipality of Grosio starts the road that leads to Val Grosina, a side valley of the Valtellina much loved by the locals.
A fairytale landscape opens up from the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve (built in 1888) in the locality of Fusino. Continuing along the road you reach the Eita refuge (about 8 km from the holiday home), while turning left you take the road that leads to our beautiful holiday home on the western side of the valley. Continuing beyond the hut for about 10 km from the holiday home, you will reach Alpe Malghera. Both Eita and Malghera are perfect starting points for numerous trekking and cycling excursions.

The Holiday House in Val Grosina is located 8 km from the center of Grosio. In the village you will find all the basic necessities such as food and minimarket, bar, pharmacy, bank and shops. Furthermore, in this charming municipality you can visit the historic medieval castles of Grosio and Grosotto and the rocky castle of the artist called "the Gaudì of Grosio".
On the state road that crosses the town of Grosio there is a bus line (PEREGO BUS) that connects Livigno, Bormio, Tirano and the whole of Valtellina.
In Tirano there is a train service and you can choose to visit all the main Valtellina destinations by train, up to Milan. The famous Bernina Red Train, the Rhaetian Railway, a UNESCO heritage site, also departs from Tirano.
