It is difficult for me to think of another Airbnb where I would want to hang out more. We mainly enjoyed the patio, river view, and fire pit, but on a different day would definitely have played pool or air hockey or any of the board games on the bookshelf. Just a great place to hang. It was also comfortable and clean, and the hosts were very gracious and communicative. I should note something that was not 100% clear from the description and other reviews: this space is two separate private bedrooms, each with lockable keypad entry, and a shared common space between them with the couches, pool table, and the bathroom. You can rent each bedroom individually or rent the whole space here on Airbnb. The bathroom has two doors: one from the common space, and one into this bedroom that we rented. the other bedroom does not have a direct door. Both doors are lockable.

There are beautiful views on the way to Catherine's place, and the windows looking over the river in her backyard are great. Wildlife abounds. Lots of fox, deer, etc. right in the backyard. Catherine also responded to our messages quickly. We ran into a few things that might be helpful to know if you're considering a stay here: - If you have allergies: You may react to dust bunnies, accumulated dust, pet hair, etc. on the floor, furniture, etc. You'll also be in a semi-finished basement, with some normal basement mildewy areas (bathroom closet where towels, etc. are stored seems to be a hot spot). We left windows open and utilized the two dehumidifiers (?) in the main room and our room. - Consider asking Catherine if other guests will be staying at the same time you are/what days your stays overlap. We left the "shared" bathroom door locked without realizing it. We had been staying for some time on our own, and we had had it locked the entire time, never using the "shared" door. Other guests arrived late at night after we had gone to bed. They needed the restroom in the wee hours of the morning and they needed to shower early the next day, but they couldn't enter the bathroom without Catherine's intervention. We felt sorry that this could have been prevented so easily on our end had we asked the right questions. - If you're a light sleeper: the space is below the host family's living area upstairs. Noise from four-legged friends and people with shoes walking about emanates pretty intensely from overhead. White noise, earplugs, etc. were helpful for us. Thank you for having us!

Catherine is a very hospitable host! She really sets the bar high in terms of hosts and was very welcoming to her home! Ask her about the area and she will be able to direct you.
