The Ma&Ja apartment is located in the quiet, peaceful vineyard village of Grabrovec, above city Metlika, next to the Urban hiking trail. Apartment has a large terrace with a heated jacuzzi and a view of the vineyard, orchard and Metlika. Outside is a swing for the kids, an outdoor fireplace for a barbecue and in the basement is space for parties (up to 20 people), meetings and various events (prior agreement required). Apartment also has a covered parking space and bicycle rental for bicycling and canoe rental for riding on the Kolpa River. As a welcome, you get a bottle of our homemade wine and local seasonal fruits. You are invited to an unforgettable and relaxing vacation!
3 km from the apartment, is city Metlika, where are restaurants like ''Pizzerija in Špagetarija Pri starem Pildu'', ''Gostilna Gera'', ''Gostilna Budački'', ''Pizzerija Julija'', stores (''Spar'', ''Tuš'', ''Mercator'') and cafes (''Bar Liber'', ''Atmosphere cafe'', ''BarTuš''. There are also ''Vinska klet Metlika'' and ''Vinska klet Prus'', where you can try Metlika's famous vine Metliška Črnina.
In Metlika is a river ''Kolpa'', in which you can bath and swim during the summer time, or rent a canoe. In village Podzemelj, at the river Kolpa, is adrenaline park.
In the surrounding area, you can find a series of natural bathing spots along the river Kolpa, accessible by bike or car (Metlika, Križevska vas, Primostek, Otok, Podzemelj, Krasinec, Adlešiči...). At some bathing areas you can rent a canoe, raft, or sup. Only 10 km away is the popular excursion spot Krašnji vrh with a lookout tower. At the crossing between Dolenjska and Bela Krajina, there is a hiking trail to Trdinov vrh, which you can also reach by car. On the Trdinov vrh is the view of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina. About 25 km away from the apartment is the ski resort Gače, which invites you to ski, snowboard or sled in the winter, and in the summer, you can go on a hike or ride a bike on the trails through the forest. In Črnomelj, you can go for a wander through the Krajinski park Lahinja, Nerajski lugi, and in Semič to the source of the Krupa River and Divji Potok. We recommend a visit to the House of Delicacies Bela Krajina (Hiša dobrot Bele krajine), Šturm Castle Cellar at Castle Metlika, Pečarič Wine Cellar, Metlika Wine Cellar, Šuklje Wine Cellar or Prus Wine Cellar, which can boast of many types of wines and many quality awards. In Metlika, we also recommend a visit to the Muesum Belokranjski muzej Metlika, the Slovenian Fire Museum, dr. Branko Božič, Kambič gallery, Tri Fare pilgrimage complex and Brihtna glava Primary School - "school as it used to be".
