Such a beautiful home located within reasonable walk to all great shops, restaurants, just a block from the water and a lovely park...just about everything. Portia's house is beautifully and warmly decorated...very comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, great office and two wonderfully comfortable living spaces. We so enjoyed our month at this delightful house.

Portia was an absolutely incredible host, and our family agreed that her home was the most wonderful in which we've ever stayed. It is beyond cozy, beautifully furnished, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully appointed. Many Airbnbs are fairly sparse when it comes to furnishings, kitchen items, etc., but Portia's home has literally every single thing you could ever need for a seamless long-term stay. It is obvious that Portia loves her home and her guests, and we felt like treasured friends by the time we departed. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The neighborhood is also delightful. It's just a very short walk to a pier with a gorgeous view of the harbor and bridge, and a very short drive into all that Newport has to offer. We stayed over Christmas with two young children and could not have asked for a more magical New England Christmas experience.

My husband and I are from Austin, TX and have been traveling all year (since January) and Portia’s sweet home was our favorite by far! Portia has decorated her home beautifully! The beds are comfy, the living areas so roomy, but cozy (loved the fireplace). The kitchen is a dream with everything you would ever need. We had thanksgiving here and I felt like I was cooking in my own kitchen. She even had a rolling pin so I could make my moms famous yeast rolls :) we spent 6 weeks here and did not want to leave. We could walk to the water right down the street for sunset every night. It was just magical! Some of our favorite spots in town were the Dueling Piano Bar (Don’t miss this- we went 4 times!), Brick Alley Tavern, Bar’Cino and the Boat House (which is in Tiverton). We can’t wait to come back - it definitely feels like a home away from home! Portia was so kind and just a joy to work with!! We can’t wait to come back next year!

Imagine your cool sister has a great place in Newport. Automatic fireplace, a morning sun room, a great living room with a big sectional to crash on and watch TV, excellent cable and wifi, and a variety of bedrooms for you and your guests. The sunny kitchen is very well appointed, with everything needed for cooking great meals. It's all here, and just a short walk to the wharfs in Newport.
