Helt fantastisk lille hytte, som ligger for sig selv i idylliske omgivelser med smuk udsigt over dalen nedenfor, og adgang til fjeld og bjerge ovenfor. Der er både kæmpe powerbank med strøm til dagevis, gas komfur og ovn, indlagt koldt vand, samt masser af stearinlys og brænde til brændeovnen, samt alt hvad der skal bruges til optænding. Derudover er der alt hvad man kan ønske sig af service i køkkenet. Tag godt fodtøj og fornuftigt tøj på hvis du vil gå op til hytten, da der kan være mudret hvis det har regnet, og vejen er stejl. Der er fiskeudstyr tilgængeligt og søer man kan fiske i oppe i fjeldet. Der er dog ikke markerede stier der op til, så man skal finde sin egen vej gennem fjeldet. Jostein var en super flink og behjælpelig vært, og han satte endda ild i brændeovnen så der var varmt da vi nåede hytten. Det tog ca. 1 t 15 min at gå der op.

As the weather got worse we decided to cancel our hike to a DNT hut. Looking for something similar we came across Jostein's cabin and it truly exceeded our expectations. Excluded and private with a great view on the valley below. A few hikes in the area although they are not marked. Jostein was really friendly, giving us clear instructions on how to get to the cabin. It is a 3 km walk in which you ascend around 400 meters. It is easily doable if you leave the suitcase at home, bring a backpack instead!

Nice rustic cabin with a good fireplace and wood. In general you have everything you need to live/cook and enjoy yourself. The area is very privat (besides some sheep). The nature is nice you can hike or fish (and don't forget to search you for ticks like everywhere in norway). The cabin is decorated quite cosy, the only negative things is that it lacks a little bit of caretaking. In total we were happy to stay there.

We had a great stay at Farmer Joe’s place! It was a beautiful view and a lovely cabin. Farmer Joe was very friendly and helpful. Our only disappointment , which wasn’t in the cabin itself but in the area, was the many ticks around the place. There are no designated hiking trails so you have to make your own paths, which was fine and we had amazing views at the top of the mountain. The only downside was when we got back to the cabin we noticed ticks all over us. I wish we would have known this as we were not prepared. The next day we wore long pants and long socks and it was ok. So be prepared. Otherwise we had a great time. The cabin has everything you need. You have complete privacy and the whole mountain to yourself as there are no other cabins around. So overall it was fantastic! Highly recommend!
